Great news - as you said, with loads of wi-fi spots (and a lot of growing ones) the possibility for this is awesome.

Wi-Fi hot spots so betta become more popular in aus, theres like a few e-b games, and thats it. Rip

A VoIP phone should be no problem for the DS, if Nintendo doesnt do it then someone else could rather easily I'm sure.

I hope they partner with Skype, that way you could call the same contacts from home and DS!

Hehe - would be awesome, and if it does become a possibility they should really really market it well - norm consumers seem to be getting onboard the "voice over net" phase.

I think it will catch on pretty fast, and allot a other things will have it

wouldn't it cost money though?? plus if you wanted to let people call you you'd have to leave ur ds onSmilie

Sounds a bit crap- who doesn't have a mobile phone anyway?

Well, free is free Smilie

I HERD U LIEK TEH MUDKIPZ?

it would be kind of cool though seeing how im getting a Lite next month. call up my folks on my older DS.

I dunno, it's a nice touch and just adds to the list of reasons to get a DS but it reeks of doing it for the sake of doing it to me.

Actually... this makes perfect sense... Wireless internet connection + VOIP would just be perfect. Maybe even a new Gameboy camera for video calls Smilie
