According to IGN D3 have obtained the rights to publish the title 100 Bullets for all home consoles, handhelds and the PC. Previously in development by Acclaim, this announcement sees the title bought back from the death.

100 Bullets is an Eisner and Harvey Award-winning comic book written by Brian Azzarello and illustrated by Eduardo Risso. Its full of crime, espionage and we can see a videogame version being something a bit like Hitman meets Killer 7, so we're quite intrigued about this one.

"100 Bullets has all the elements necessary to translate exceptionally well into video games," said Careen Yapp, VP of licensing and business development of D3PA. "We look forward to bringing the unique characters and storyline of 100 Bullets to life with the latest interactive technology and graphics, and will work closely with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics/Vertigo to maintain the authenticity consumers demand."

"100 Bullets is an innovative crime-noir series that combines powerful story telling with non-stop action, and will be a great addition to the gaming world," said John Nee, VP of business development for DC Comics.

    We'll have more soon.

But does sound fairly good from the news snippet - could attract some people to the console.
