When I used to own both a Nintendo GameCube and Sony PlayStation 2, I particularly liked the new diversion that Square Enix had gone with FF CC and when I think about it now, FF CC is the foremost reason why I dislike FFX-2, FFXI and the new FFXII. Square Enix are giving us the usual story wrapped in different characters. Take XII for example; set in the FF Tactics world; not something that is making me turn my head for sure.
Final Fantasy III, coming out for Nintendo DS, gives that FF CC charm that I love about Final Fantasy right now and will be a key selling point for Nintendo fans who enjoyed the multiplayer fiasco on Nintendo GameCube. I'm sure with the rather gimmick-like Game Boy Advance to GameCube link-up required to play FF CC that Square Enix will give this sort of connectivity stunt a miss.
Final Fantasy VI is a definite game for the Game Boy Advance I won't miss, since it is my overall favourite in the series, and not to mention a late 2006 release of Children of Mana too; things are just about to get hot in my opinion.
Great news coverage, Adam.
