Never seen the screens that up closer really... Holy crap, that last pic, showing in game gameplay, it has brilliant graphics.

Didn't expect them to use the nun-chuck for his. looks very good indeed.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

so this is the true sequel to mario 64, eh?

Seems weird to me. Mario in space? That's just not right.

Is this a Revoltuion Mario platoformer?

If it is, then this is basically Mario 128.

Only one screen in that album, but still looks good.

I am loving all these quality Mario games coming out!

It's so good. I can't wait! *Craps self*

I think it's called Galaxy as an expansion of Super Mario WORLD, as a Galaxy is the next biggest thing, no? Smilie

Next will be Super Mario Galaxy 2: Yoshi's Planet, & then Super Mario Universe.

Mario has been to space before on the GameBoy.Smilie

Yar, but that was not a Galaxy, it was a Land. Smilie

Didn't Iwata or another Nintendo-bigshot say you wouldn't see the difference between Wii graphics and for instance X-360 graphics in terms of quality? Damn that person wasn't kidding, and this proves it... Just look at the giant cupcake where he fights the monster... The lighting on that thing... Jesus... And it's all so smooth... For the first time, Mario's nose is just REALLY round! Smilie

    ~Getting on C3's massive tits since 2K5.~

I know! It looks like (As with Monkey Ball) There are going to be alot of spheres in this game, and from the looks of the video in the conference they're pretty much perfect... I can't wait for this game!!

No, the next biggest thing would be a solar system Smilie.
I may get this game but personally neither of the 3D Mario games have been that fun...I might just pass.

I'm extremley shocked this isn't a bigger deal. IT'S MARIO 128. This is the game we've been waiting for for years! Smilie

yea, i'm surprised as well but i guess the galaxy thing surprised us all when we were expecting it on land. Smilie

I gotta admit, after seeing that video, mario galaxy looks freaking awesome! Screw what i said earlier. The concept of space DOES bring open a new way for mario to explore.

You gotta admit, that squid fight was awesome! Smilie

Yeah it was! Like the Link/Gannon fights in a way..

Just updated this with video footage Smilie

Love it! When i saw it over the live feed i was very impressed I'm sure a lot of journo's will be getting some play in on it, though it wasn't mentioned heavily by Reggie, but it does look soooo good! Smilie

have you seen screens of Elder Scrolls IV? theres no way wii can compare to 360 / PS3. the video was nice, but not that amazing. i thought it was supposed to be all revolutionary etc. just looks like a long overdue 3d mario. is this really going to change 3d gaming as radically as M64 did?

    mmm beautiful oblivion.

I'm a bit disappointed they didn't do a detailed hands on with this on stage at the show, but nevermind. I think I would've preferred to see it over Twilight Princess or Red Steel...

It looks awesome - this could be the first 3D Mario I truly get into. I've liked the others, but I've never been hugely excited by them.

I saw the video today at school. It had seriously taken me totally off surprise and surpased my wildest expecations. How fun does that look? And the terrain? So original, reminds me of those space levels in SMS. The gampplay looks like a blast to play, not to mention different and the level design is some of the best that I have ever seen. I hope this is a comulative increase in wow factor just like it was for me with zelda TP (I am surprised of how much it looks better even though it looked brilliant before [not just graphically]).

Seeing the planet underneath mario looked fantastic and skipping over the stratosphere!? Could be interestingSmilie
