E3 2006 News | Super Swing Golf PANGYA Details

By James Temperton 11.05.2006 10

Super Swing Golf PANGYA was confirmed for the Nintendo Wii a little while ago, now more details regarding the title are being released. The game will provide a rich, newly designed, casual golf game that revolutionizes the way video game golf is played, putting the player in control of the club and the course.

  • The Super Swing: The Wii controller provides a new level of gaming interaction, sensing motion, depth, positioning and targeting dictated by the movement of the controller itself allowing the controller to act as the golf club. A back-swing sets the amount of power of the swing and the angle of controller when hitting the ball defines whether the ball will hook or slice.

  • Revolutionized Graphics: Improved character texture and molding and the newly designed costumes bring this title to life in this uniquely designed fantasy world.

  • Single Play Modes: Hit the lynx in Single Mode to play through Story Mode, Free Mode, or Challenge Mode. In Story Mode, the game proceeds along with the story of each character and will diverge according to the results of the match.

  • Multiplayer Modes: Try out Battle Mode to take on others in Match Play, Stroke Play, and Party Play.

We should have some media of this game very soon, so stay tuned!

Looking good. They dropped the WFC features didn't they? A shame, especially considering it was a free pc game only available though download. With net play too. Gutted, but still looking good...

Yeah, not Wi-Fi now I don't think, which is a shame. Be interesting to see how it shapes up against Golf in Wii Sports.

No, Tecmo announced it was ditching the online aspect so that it could work this Wii version from the ground up to make it the ultimate golfing experience.

I think we'll be better off for it...

Never really considered golfing as a major player for promoting online anyway, but yeah shame.

I guess so, but online golf does sound appealing to me...

I don't care about the Wi-fi too much for a golf game, sure it would've been nice, but I'm not sure how much I'd play multi-player golf online anyways.

    Golf is shit...no loss

Who really cares about the missing online features. Especially if you consider the fact that we're getting better graphics and gameplay (via the wiimote).

online would be cool though, do you know if wii sports is online?
