BOO! NFS titles are always huge over here, cars are ned heaven.

Plus my brother got the DS version of one, and it was quite possibly the worst game I have ever played. It actually hurt to play

I hate racing games... I did play Need For Speed 2 SE alot on the PC though... Mainly because you could drive a log >_>

NFS 2 was ace, haven't played any more recent ones though, as they look shite.

Meh, need for speed's only good days were on the PC and playstation.

Chavs are just one reason why I despise Sony..(lets not go into the rest for now)...I apoligise if anyone here considers themselves one but....GOD I hate Chavs

Its basically Sony's main market...well over here in the UK anyway. Perhaps if we finally rid the world of Sony..the chavs will all fuck off with them.

I can't help but agree.
My mental picture of Playstation as a brand is smelly chav/5-10 year old, surrounded by scratched discss and smashed plastic cases, playing the weekly shit-fest release on his sticky controller with a clogged up D-pad. I can't help it, that's just what the PS1 and PS2 (to a slightly lesser extent) are, that is Playstation's core market in the UK.

I've been to countless houses with PSs and seen pile upon pile of crappy gamediscs that they picked up in the bargin bin 'cause they were cheap and only played once.

Topic-wise, I actually picked up Most Wanted a few months back. To be fair it was a decent racer, speedy and good to knock about with. For some reason she kept freezing up on me on the very final getaway mission though. Took her back and got RE4. Now she's a classy bird...

Yeah, the last couple of years of the PS1 was just a floor scattered with CDRs labelled "THPS2".

In Hong Kong PS2s are the same now.

NFS1 was great, then EA sacked the Pioneer team behind it, took it in house and ruined it.

It took until NFS:MW to get the series up to anything like the quality its success should merit

That's literally EXCATLY what I was gonna say It couldn't be more true, though the other large part of their audience is 'casual gamers', or simply ignorant gamers

Anyway, I'm definitely not looking forward to this. I hated NFS: Underground from the bottom of my heart, with all the crappy programming bugs in it. Surprises me I still played that game for so long cuz I just HAD to get to the end of the Underground mode... Never did though, crappy crap game... NFS used to be so much fun...

If they got some insane developer to make it again it might be pretty good. The best thing about the old ones were the cheats. You can't possibly imagine how awesome driving around in big T-Rex is until you've done it. Or an outhouse. Or a log. Or a rock... Or that insanely fast car that was impossible to control... Ah good times...
