Satoru Iwata has today confirmed the existence of Pok
20% in 2 weeks! Thats a strong sales pitch! It'll be interesting to see the percentages when it comes out in the UK. I'm under the impression it'll be quite strong (but maybe not 1/5th of DS's - like in Japan).
Good news about Pokemon Battle. Will this be another 'stadium' style game? I'd personally like to see a Smash Bros style with as many pokemon as they can stick in for the first game! Then transfer all battle stats onto a Poke RPG.
Think i'm looking to far ahead....nice to have its existance confirmed regardless ! ;-

*lol* Looks a lot like plastik. But
a) early Wii-graphics-stage
b) I want to see better shots, not being taken by a camery off-screen
c) maybe trailers?

Aha!
I was waiting for some information on this sort of game, I am actually very excited about it, in a way I haven't been since the 'original' Blue and Red made their way here (I only actually bought the Yellow Pikachu Edition). I loved those games, but Gold/Silver were too similar and I've not bought a Pokemon game since the first Pokemon Stadium on the N64.
Diamond and Pearl on the DS look set to change that, I will be getting one of the two, and that pretty screen on the "Stadium" game only makes me more interested, what with not having to purchase extra hardware to get the DS and Wii talking!
Roll out the Pokemon!

Agreed. Nice and crisp. Hopefully, thats the sort of in game graphic we can expect from this title.
That screenshot is looking great! I hope it's not another Stadium-alike, but by the title...it probably is. Just give us an MMORPG, dammit!
The graphics are actually looking pretty good, it is certainly more of a jump from the graphics of the Stadium/Colesseum/XD graphics.
I hope it'll be online, it would be really cool
&... this basically confirms one & for all that there is Wii/DS connectivity
That's sweet! Here's to hoping that they take it one step further than Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness and let you catch a lot of pokemon (like 30-50 base forms) in addition to the dark pokemon.
Also, I'm hoping they don't make the story completely about dark pokemon this time. Let that be in the game (like Team Rocket/Magma/Aqua is for the other games) but not the point of the whole game. The point of all pokemon games should be to catch them all and become a Master Trainer.
Last of all, let us battle our friends online. Also, I think it would be cool if you could both join each other in a world and catch pokemon together, that would be cool. Especially if they let you trade without going to a PC. Then you could help your friend catch that Scyther he's been looking for or whatever. Anyway, end rant.
Awesome!
And the graphics are looking really good. Nice character models and lighting effects.
Its lookin pretty smooth to

The more I look, the more I want - I've temporarily become a semi-graphics whore over the past couple of days. Hopefully the gameplay is decent - I just hope they're doing an MMORPG as well. Then again, you never know, this might have some kind of RPG mode in it.
Actually, how great would it be to release it as the 'third game' of the iteration, like they often do (i.e. Yellow, Emerald), only have it in full on 3D and allow trading to and from the DS versions? Full RPG there, stuff in some online battling (cross-platform too), boom. If it could be done, I'd like that a lot.
I still want an MMORPG though. That's one game I'd get seriously lost in.
When I saw that screen my instant reaction was: HOLY FECKING SHITE THAT LOOKS NICE!!!

wow looks very nice just hope it doesnt play like colleseum becuase that would really spoil the experience, but i like how it links to pearl/diamond guessing nintnedo will use the same wi fi port thingy to recieve data as they do to send and play online, if im wrong tell me please! !
Those are in game graphics?! Because they look awesome.

It looks nice but if its anything like the past coliseum games ill pass.

Ummmm. you justdescribed pokemon yellow, were you start as ash (although you can rename him) and you only get pikachu who follows you and actually says "pikachu" and theres trainers that give you charizard, squirtale and bulbasaur. Gym trainers don't follow you but Jessy and james from team rocket bump into you at times. It ends were Blue and Red ends though.
Btw theres a movie of those images on IGN now.

yeah but instead of the game finishing the same place as RED/Blue you get to start on a new adveture chose what pokemon you want then move to Johto...
Yeah well johto, and the gold/silver games didn't exist then so they couldn't put future events into it
I dont mean then... i mean they should make this game NOW for Wii/DS i dont care just bloody make it!!!!!!!!
Capish!!!

Pokemon is going to make a come back this year.
p.s. That pokemon Battle Revolutioin (for Wii)screen shot looks pretty good. I like!
Can we please have battles that aren't freaking turn based!?! Make it like the cartoons!!!
I've been wanting a Pokemon game for home consoles for a long time. The GameCube ones just didn't look interesting. At the very least I certainly didn't like the look of the avatars or trainers. Not the art style I like. This however looks great. I hope the story/adventure part is more interesting than those like Gale of Darkness (not that I've played it). I really want a Pokemon Yellow version for the Wii, but have it follow more closely to the cartoon show and have Brock and Misty with you. That way you can control three trainers and 18 Pokemons at one time. It'll be like some RPG games with multiple characters in your party but will have three tiers of commands too: which trainer (controls potions and healing), pokemon, and power.
