Nintendo News | Ubisoft Love The Wii?
Recent News
Ubisoft certainly seem to have fallen head over heels with Nintendo's next generation console. On a release list sent to retailers in America recently, five new games appeared on the list from them for Wii - all seemingly within the launch window (launch time and the following few months) too!
First up is Blazing Angels, a World War 2 air combat game previously thought to be only released on Xbox and Xbox 360. A version of racer Asphalt: Urban GT also appears to be coming, though it is listed simply as GT, while Monster Trucks is also listed to uphold the racing genre.
Moving onto things that could be considered bigger news, a version of Prince Of Persia has been pencilled in. Finally, Far Cry has also been put forward, which is sure to bring joy to the hearts of FPS gamers who are committed to buying a Wii everywhere.
Stick with C3 for more as it comes!

noneExcellent, something meatier. Perhaps this new Prince of Persia will have some elements from Assassin's Creed.

noneOh how I've fantasised about the freedom the Wii-mote could give to the Persian Prince!
This is great news.

noneFarCry is good, but the original game was developed by Crytek, who don't make games for Ubisoft anymore. Ubisoft Montreal have been making much more linear spin-offs ever since, this will be another.
It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

iddyyou need to worry a bit it seems to me that farcry will be the original or instincts but with wii functionality. prince of persia is odd considering they finished that series well. blazing angels is alright but lets hope it looks better the the 360 version but ill quite happily play the gt game with my wiimote

noneBare in mind that Ubisoft now own the FarCry IP AND Cry engine, which means we might get some pretty solid games coming from them.

Mike@C3Spinoff I imagine, but just 'Far Cry' was listed. It'll be by Ubisoft Montreal though, so shouldn't be too much to worry about.

none"prince of persia is odd considering they finished that series well."
Indeed.
I hope they dont wreck the story, as it was wonderfully done.
Why I kinda think going of on a tangent would be better then a direct sequal.
I cant help thinking a GTA/Spiderman2 style open-plan game would be fantastic.
Freerunning over the streets and rooftops of bablon.
Rather then having a bit story, it could be loads of smaller tales.
We have seen how the prince fights and dies, lets now see how he rules..Darkflames Favorate Games! - Darkflames Favorate Films! - Darkflames Favorate Foods?!
