Game and Watch games would work well on the DS for obvious reasons, i'm just surprised Nintendo didn't try to cash in on it. But something for nothing is good in my book.Smilie

LCD games are always crap, even Nintendo ones.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

    Pretty nice freebie.

    Those lucky bastards.

Those fu.... *HazukiSan was arrested for breach of the peace shortly after this post*

Why is there no club Nintendo in North America or Europe? Did Nintendo try to establish club Nintendo in those areas and did not succeed? I think they should try or try again. This could be another source of revenue for the company and a good thing for Nintendo fans around the world.

Europe has the Stars Catalogue, which occasionally gets decent stuff.

Game and watch will be one of a few DS downloads from the Wii.

Trust me on this, its something thats dead easy for Nintendo to do.

I know... why dont we never get something like that here?!?!?! Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

True though, I thought everyone knew that? Game & Watch is just a collectable thing, they're not famous because they're good.

Well, a while ago there was a big market for these, while some are a little lame, others are cool.
There not like todays games, but many moons ago I was playing G+W, I think thats mainly due to my age group, I'm well aware that I'll never here a teenager of today saying he found it entertaining.
But then when I was a kid, I thought Hop-Skotch was bent.

True, i love the style and to have ano riginal G&W would be great but LCD games are piss to play.

Urm, I think you might find GB, GBA and DS are LCD too HasukiSan, you dont like any of these?
Unless you mean you dont like Cell battery handhelds.
Believe it or not, they wasnt exactly collectables to start with, just toys for the kids, and kids didnt have them to collect, trust me, we had them cause thats all there was, and they were fun.
Bearing in mind it was that or back to Connect 4/Scrabble, y'see?

Also, dont forget how important G+W was for the GameBoy.

Yeah, I meant the old cell battery, black and white simple games from the back of the Argos Smilie

I have no doubting that they were inredibly important for the gaming industry, Nintendo as a company hell even Japan's economy but whilst I'd like this and an original for sheer collection value I still hate playing them. Simply frustrating and not fun to play. Back in the day I'm sure they were groundbreaking and fun, but now in hindsite they are shown for the early and very simple piece of technology they are.

*takes deep breath* Yeah, I know.
    Man am I getting old!

Game & Watch collection sounds like an aweseme idea, & the best thing about it is that they could fit every single Game & Watch game on there, just think, the entire history of one of Nintendo's first consoles, on ONE cartridge, & probably for a budget price! I hope it comes to UK, I reckon it would do really well with the Retro fans.

EDIT: Although the chances are incredibly unlikely... I know I'd buy it! Smilie

Sorry, but I have to argue with Hazukisan about the LCD-ness, in that I think it's rather Black & Green, rather than Black & White, a rather smelly green too! Smilie

Ahh, the Dot Matrix of the original GB was black on green, but tha G+W series was more black on silver wasnt it? Smilie

How can plastic screening be shiny? It's just not possible!!! Smilie

..... Or something, I reckon it was prolly grey Smilie

Besides, the colour Silver prolly hadn't been INVENTED THAT long ago Smilie
