Nintendo Rumour | October Wii Launch for Japan?

By Jorge Ba-oh 26.06.2006 34

Nintendo can be heard on many gaming websites throughout the Internet. The company usually keeps their operations very much a secret from the public, only revealing what's necessary at the right time. Where the Wii is concerned, nothing solid has been revealed on the price nor release date.

French gaming website, Impact Virtuel is suggesting an October 2006 release date for Nintendo's upcoming console in Japan; sometime around the end of the month - 30th October.

Whilst the date seems viable enough, the source perhaps isn't the most reliable:

"For example, take a guy who is near Nintendo head office. Very near. Of course, for his own security, we won't reveal his name...

...We'll just call him Mr Jean-Claude Yakitori...

So, Jean-Claude Yakitori forgot that journalists have a huge skill of resisting alcohol, just because they practice a lot the press tours.

I too am lucky if I play games for two hours or more a day on average.

I am too, there aren't enough hours in the day.

I think I may be one of the only people who want the Wii to come out later. My final exams end on around the 19th of November so anytime past then is good for me. Any sooner and I am going to get too distracted before my exams.

What the!? You're all terrible, terrible people!! I play Maple Story alone for more than that... >_> I'm a bit addicted...

Tell me about it. Once back from uni, showered, had dinner, did some studying and checked my stuff online... well time sometimes runs out.

Just got a busy life.

Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze in some more mobile gaming with the Lite, but my time is only going to become even more limited over the next year. As it is, I sometimes go for weeks, even months without sitting down to the 'Cube.

I tend to do most of my gaming in the winter months.

Less posty, more gamey.

Same here, bad weather is a godsend for the busy gamer.

Well to be honest I'd rather play games than talk about them on forums... Crazy I know ^^; Bathing, eating and all that other crap comes after gaming damnit!

If only there was a way to get games without using money >_>

It's odd, I love games but recently I've prefered analysing the industry an dthe general gaming community than playing them. Some games bring me back, like Phoenix Wright but it's a rarity.

I have been a bit of the opposite recently. The discussion around games and especially news excites me just as much as playing them.

That is why I can't wait for the holdiays. I have one coming up the week after next and I need it too. On my last holiday I went away to China and had lots of school work to do once I came back. I have been bogged down with school work for the last few months with no break. I still have a heap of school work for these upcoming holidays but atleast I get some form of a break.
