Nintendo Reviews | Famitsu Rates Latest Japanese Releases

The latest round of review scores are in from Japanese weekly publication Famitsu. This week there are only a handful of Nintendo games looked at, but it is interesting nonetheless.

As usual there are four reviewers at Famitsu, each one providing their own score out of ten, followed by an overall mark out of 40:

  • Tekken Dark Resurrection (PSP, Bandai Namco): 8 / 8 / 7 / 8 - (31/40)
  • Xenosaga Episode III (PS2, Bandai Namco): 9 / 9 / 8 / 7 - (33/40)
  • Rockman ZX (NDS, Capcom): 8 / 8 / 7 / 8 - (31/40)
  • Ultimate Spider-Man (GC, Taito): 8 / 7 / 7 / 7 - (29/40)
  • Hiiro no Kakera (PS2, Idea Factory): 6 / 5 / 5 / 5 - (21/40)
  • Brave Story: Wataru no Bouken (PS2, Sony): 6 / 7 / 6 / 6 - (25/40)
  • Brave Story: Shintanaru Ryojin (PSP, Sony): 8 / 8 / 8 / 9 - (33/40)
  • Brave Story: Boku no Kioku to Negai (NDS, Bandai Namco): 6 / 6 / 5 / 7 - (24/40)
  • Hanaki (PS2, Prototype): 6 / 7 / 6 / 5 - (23/40)
  • Cars (PS2/GC, THQ): 7 / 6 / 6 / 5 - (24/40)
  • Cars (GBA, THQ): 4 / 5 / 5 / 6 - (20/40)
  • Cars (PSP, THQ): 7 / 6 / 7 / 7 - (27/40)
  • Cars (NDS, THQ): 5 / 5 / 5 / 6 - (21/40)
  • Milon no Hoshizora Shabon: Puzzle Kumikyoku (NDS, Hudson): 6 / 6 / 6 / 7 - (25/40)

    Fairly good scores, but nothing stands out too much. Rock/Megaman seems good though, might be worth picking up!

    Wow, so it seems Cars might even be pretty good! I mean they definitely weren't that harsh y'know? Smilie

    Also.... MegaMan ZX out in Japan ALREADY!?!??!? I can't believe we have to wait so long in EU!!!

    Megaman will most likely be another big seller well if the gba games were anything to go by

    I was expecting a better score for megaman ZX, i watched a trailer and thought it looked amazing and ive never even played a megaman game before.

    Pathetic games anyway...Japs don't care about Cars. Well one would think they wouldn't. But what would I know...
