Hopefully that clears things up a little for people confused about whether Mario is actually No.1 or not... Smilie

Good to see people picking up Chibi Robo still!

Monkey Ball didn't even enter the top 20 GCN charts that is bad

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

GAME in Manchester city centre had twelve GC copies on the New Release shelf at the front of the store last week, along with six PSP copies and twelve PS2 ones.

Strange how it was overlooked...

Right, looky here

No, it's not bad that Monkey Ball Adventure isn't in the top GC 20, because it ISN'T OUT!!

I've looked in GAME top to bottom, & everything I see says "Super Monkey Ball Adventure!" Then underneath it says "PSP & PS2!!"

No GCN copies ANYWHERE, this may expalin why. NOWHERE.

It might be the same with Chibi-Robo however, it could pop up this week in my GAME shop, but what really bothers me is that they have SO MANY copies of cheap movie tie in games like Over The Hedge & Ice Age 2, while Chibi-Robo & SMBA are nowhere to be found... They're the kind of game that would really sell on GC, unlike the stupid Movie tie ins, that just attract the little kids & not anyone else...

Anyway, it's great that NSMB is doing so great, I'm just ticked off with GC's selection.

EDIT: I bet SMBA is good, I think it's probably really good! Why do brilliant GC games always have to never be in stock!! Smilie

The large GAME in the heart of Manchester has stock, like I said in the article...as much stock as the PS2 and far MORE than the PSP. GAME has the official exclusive rights to the GC version, so even Amazon UK isn't selling copies.

Smilie

That's really wierd!! Because the GAME I went to has NONE!! Smilie

It's so wierd.... exclusive rights? GC must be so dead.... Smilie

Bit random GAME having exclusive rights to a game

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

Aye, Monkey Ball Adventure's out? Urgh. I didn't get past #1

I never touched Monkey Ball again after the first game - got it at the launch of the GC in Europe, alongside Luigi's Mansion, and hated it.

Monkey Ball Adventure looks 'alright'...

As for the exclusivity, it's happened before in the N64's life with GAME, although I can't remember the game. Always at the end of the system's life, when most stores don't stock the new games, so GAME snaps up the exlusive and bungs all the stock in their stores.

ah monkey ball is alright but can get tedious bit like the Mario Party's but Monkey Target was immense, might invest in adventure, chibi robo and mario baseball feel like some GameCube actionSmilie

It's nice to see that Nintendo is actually IN the top of charts and not just in the bottom like always...

I love Super Monkey Ball games, they're great fun, especially the first, & I'm gonna get Adventure 2 (If I can ever find the damn thing)

I think I might have a few guesses at what the N64 game might have been...

Mario Party 3?
Paper Mario?

That's all I can remember from the last months of N64's life...

twice now you have mentioned the monkey ball touch and roll is a budget game (assuming thts

-Have you any idea what it's like to be a Fembot living in a Manbot's Manputer's world?
-What?

I never touched Monkey Ball again after the first game - got it at the launch of the GC in Europe, alongside Luigi's Mansion, and hated it.

What!?? Smilie!

Fair enough if that's your opinion, but I think Super Monkey Ball was easily the best launch game, and still holds up as one of the top 5 Cube games to get. (SMB2 was also great but not quite as good)

Metroid Prime 2 #1 woohoooo!!! Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Best Launch game = SA2B for me anyday Smilie

Best. 3D Sonic. Ever.

But hopefully not for long Smilie

Anyway, I looked in my GAME shop again today. It seems now they have a fairly generous GC section for a dead console, it has a shelf!! Well, it's like one of those shelves that they have in the middle of the floor with games & products around the side of it, 4/5 2nd hand games, & then the rest were new I guess. Still, no Super Monkey Ball Adventure, maybe my GAME don't know it exists!? They have posters everywhere saying "Super Monkey Ball Adventure: PSP PS2"

Well, I guess there are no visible copies of Chibi-Robo either...
