Nintendo, being ever generous, have sent President George Bush a very special present for his special 60th birthday on July 6th 2006: A DS Lite and Brain Training, along with a very special letter.

Thanks to gaming blog excellence, Kotaku, we have a copy of the transcript and goodie-bag to share.

The letter sent by Nintendo of America:

    Dear President Bush:

    Happy Birthday!

Don't worry, turning 60 is an exciting milestone. As you know, you've joined millions of other baby boomers in an invigorating new decade of your life. And, like many boomers, you may be looking for ways to keep your mind sharp. That's where we come in.

Please accept our gift of a new Nintendo DS Lite system and a copy of Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day. You now join millions of people around the world who have fun challenging themselves with Brain Age. If you have never played a video game before, don't worry. Brain Age is part of our new Touch Generations brand, which includes games that are easy for people of any age - regardless of their video game experience - to pick up and start playing immediately.

It's obvious you don't have a lot of time to play games, which makes Brain Age such a great activity for you - just a few minutes a day with more than 15 daily training tests will help keep your mind sharp. Training tests include categories like math, reading and memorization. Try it for a few days and watch your score improve. Brain Age also comes with more than 100 sudoku puzzles - these could make your next long flight on Air Force One a bit more fun! (Perhaps copies of Brain Age for journalists joining you on your next flight would be a nice distraction!)
Have fun exploring Brain Age with your Nintendo DS Lite and be sure to let us know your brain age!

    Have a tremendous birthday!

    Sincerely,

    Your Friends at Nintendo

We'd like to take the chance to offer our birthday wishes to President Bush, have a fab day Sir!

That is the most ingenius publicity stunt that Nintendo of America have ever pulled, i mean the Americans love there cheesy stupid news like this so it will be all the major news stations.

Kudos to NOA on great advertising

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the cliché. They were the statement and the definition."

Sending Mr. Bush a DS Lite with Brain Age may be considered one of the best jokes so far pulled by Nintendo! You do not know how political you are, folks!
I, putting aside any political cynism, will only say that I really want to know Mr. Bushes Brain Age, folks. I did some... guesses already... *smile*
I find your lack of faith disturbing!

You just imagine it 7 + 5 + 4 = ?, Bush's brain would shut it would be too much for the poor fellow.

You never know this might make Bush a better President after all today he stressed diplomacy with N.Korea you see Brain Training has taught him not to invade everything

jb i mean you reckon they sent the Japanese President Brain Training?

So all I have to do to get a free DS Lite is ... become President of the USA. OK, there might be a few hurdles in my way (not being American, no previous political experience besides voting every so often, not really wanting the job), but if there's free Nintendo goodies then I'm there!

What great publicity! Nintendo are clever. Getting the president's approval on a system...wow. Well...wait, about 40 percent will consider it anyways Smilie
But if he doesn't like it, the other 60 percent might consider...hmm.

Bush has never done anything except decide to go to War, & be an incredibly stupid person.

He's really seriously dumb. As in not clever. At all. Smilie

EDIT: Oh yeah, & he told other people to go to war too. Smilie
