I'm so pleased to hear that Shantae isn't dead! A DS sequel, the GBA game possibly being finished via the Virtual Console...yay!
I know Matt/Gastrian doesn't like Sigma Star, but I'm quite taken by it. I'll cover the title when before it launches here in August
If people want to know more about it, check out the first interview (the link is at the top)...

I wasn't really aware of this developer, but hey, it looks like they have great plans for Nintendo systems. Maybe they can make original IP though, next time? Or maybe some original VC games.

I actually quite like it as well, but hey, everyone has to have his own taste, right?

I've just ordered myself a copy of Shantae for the Game Boy Colour, so I'll get a retro review of it done as soon as I get chance to play through it again (played it a few times a LONG time ago, but my memory's faded). Shantae really has the potential to be a massive franchise...just like SSS could.
In fact, a large-scale online-enabled Sigma Star could be spectacular!

So does that basically confirm the possibility of GBA - SNES conversions via the VC? How would that work? Anyone think there'd be complications or what?
EDIT: Just changing that, as it was Matt that stated the thing about VC

Excellent interview
Some original VC games would be great, and really would do wonders for the service!

Z, it has its flaws, but is ultimately a fun experience. I'll be interested to see how it does over here...I'm predicting it won't even crack the GBA Top 20, though.
Thanks Mike - plenty more to come (as you well know)
JB, indeed, the more people supporting the VC the better as unfortunately it seems Throwback are churning some of Acclaim's stuff onto XBLA instead
