Nibris, indie developer of Wii psychological horror title Sadness and DS shoot 'em up Raid Over The River, have recently stated that they will have more information out in a few days, but for now we have to hang tight. There is, however, now a publisher in the picture - Nibris cannot say who due to NDAs (who thought they'd seen the last of them? Fools!), but a couple of rumours have been going about (we won't discuss who, we don't want to get anybody accidentally in trouble). With a publisher on the scene, it seems that development kits are also ahoy - take that, doubters.

Now, though, to tide you over until the next information is released, hopefully by the end of this week, we have some things for you to peruse. Observe:
  • Image of new monster from Sadness.

  • This image has been about for a couple of days, but we can now confirm that it is called 'Likho'. Nibris have also mentioned to us that if you play Sadness well, you should never even see the beast. Multiple paths in gameplay, or gameplay altering to how well you perform? Looks like it could be so...

Next, we have a piece of music from Raid Over The River DS, exclusive to Cubed3, unheard elsewhere. It's a clip from a tune called 'Future One', which we might guess is from the first level in the game set in the future. Please right click and save as below to download some of the music you could be hearing as you're shooting things up soon:
  • Raid Over The River DS - Future One (mp3, 2.19 MB, 1.36 mins) (Right click, save as)

Stick with C3 for news on Nibris in the next few days!

EDIT: Seriously, this has potential, but it'll all depend on the publisher in the end...and if it's the one we THINK it is, then I worry... Smilie

Raid Over The River is coming in two forms - DS and Wii. The DS one is the one that will see the light of day first, probably sometime next year, while they focus their Wii development on Sadness, which'll probably be next year or perhaps the one after. Raid Over The River Wii is their last priority at this point.

Not really. If the cheaper to make DS version is a disaster, they won't make the Wii version.

( ubi, acclim, ea, ninty?) not paid tpp much attention to nibris as far as publishers go

Don't count on it being a big publisher. The one we're thinking of is small compared to those listed, though it wouldn't surprise me to see Ubisoft snatch them up (this isn't one of the rumoured ones, I'll let you know what it was whether it's correct or not one it all comes out).

I prefer the old music as well, but this is still rather nice!

They have dev. kits and a publisher, so I assume they've started.

I'm not even giving hints, as I can't be certain if it's true or not. No point spreading rumours about if they've not been verified yet...
