Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles DS is one of those games that seemed to slip through the E3 news net but is indeed the next installment of the Crystal Chronicals series and will feature four player WFC compatibility. The footage below comes straight from Comic-Con and is a much longer trailer than at E3.
Castlevania Portrait of Ruin is the next installment in the incredibly popular series and will see you switching freely between Jonathan and Charlotte aand using their unique strengths and abilities to proceed in the mission. This footage comes from a Nintendo press briefing held recently and will no doubt please the fans hoping for the definitive Castlevania experience.
Stick with C3 for all the latest DS news...

Oh fantastic, I decided to play Crystal Chronicles on GameCube again today. I love the game and can't wait for the online DS and Wii versions. How great to see a new video for it today. From looking at the vid though, doesn't the camera seem a little too close to the character? I know the DS screen is maybe a little small for these sort of games and any further back and the character will be tiny, but even so. Looks a little more colourful than the realistic version of the GC, but still good. Also, doesn't it look like there's some form of jumping action going on there? Still, I can't wait for the game.
Loved Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, and as long as Portrait of Ruin at least plays the same as that, I'll be happy.

that vid is not ff iii, it is ffcc. i'd like to see it a little closer, it only shows the one screen though. looks amazingly solid and colourful though. cant wait. will you be able to play it ds to ds though?
castlevania looks good. but i'd wish they'd try the 3d again. there seemed to be a good 3d building in one of the backgrounds. at least the end monster, the eye thing, was 3d. kinda nsmb. ah i want them both.

DAMN that guy playing castlevania sucks balls! What's with all the stupid waiting and jumping for no reason! Gotta love the game itself though
Crystal Chronicles looks very interesting, and a lot more fun to play than the one on GC(I really hold a grudge against that one), and I hope this turns out a lot better

I think that Shenmue thingyo was "some work" enough lol. I can't wait for FFCC DS but Castlevania has never really interested me. It just looks like the NES version with parallax scrolling, a bit of VJ-3D-backgroundness, and,uh, two screens. I know its more than that, but it never really looked stunning to me

I'm for sure going next year, though!
I feel like the Gamecube FFCC was missing something... maybe it was needing more story, who knows. I just didn't like how stories would just repeat themselves no matter how many times you went to a level. I did like playing with other people very much though, so I'm looking forward to seeing more about this DS version! Ooh, how cool would it be if you had more character types to choose from-- or better yet, having forms to choose from, and color customization! (Heh, I'm such a sucker for that stuff.. What I wouldn't give if they actually put that in the new Pokemon game!!)

I think that Shenmue thingyo was "some work" enough lol. I can't wait for FFCC DS but Castlevania has never really interested me. It just looks like the NES version with parallax scrolling, a bit of VJ-3D-backgroundness, and,uh, two screens. I know its more than that, but it never really looked stunning to me This is a smilie
If you like the 2D metroids then you will love Castlevania.
I hope FF:CC is a lot better than the GC outing at least the WiFi connectivity should make it a lot easier getting freinds to play, the dual screens does make the DS its natural home
..and hopfully it makes up for a lack of 4 swords on the DS..
