Nintendo Wii Rumour | Cryptic MMO on the Way?

Quick News: N-Central are reporting that Cryptic Studio's website has job vacancies up for creating a new MMO game for PC and Next-Gen consoles. No word on specific consoles but we'll keep you updated if the name Wii pops up at any point.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Nintendo getting a piece of the NCSoft online action in this coming generation, especially considering Nintendo has just set up a Korean HQ! (we'll overlook the fact that the building hasn't been set up properly in Seoul yet!)

It'd be an amazing coup if they did manage it, would bring in a whole new group of gamers.

Koreans are very avid gamers, however they really only PC. They live Blizzard games, especially Starcraft and DoTA (WCIII mod).

But NCSoft, the biggest of the Korean companies, is trying to move away from PC gaming as the format is dying. If Nintendo could convince them...we shall see. I've got an interview with the main people at NCSoft soon, so we shall see Smilie

I don't see the fuss about starcraft. it's just Warcraft 2 with less characterful graphics.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

cool can't wait to see how that turns out, I hope they bring out some MMO's for the Wii I've never really played one before besides Guild wars which I wouldn't really class has a MMO comparied to something like WoW.
