Famitsu Reviews | Nintendo Hits Target With Star Fox DS

Posted by By (jb) 10 Number of reads 34330

Finally the latest scores are in from Japanese magazine Famitsu and the review of Star Fox Command on the DS shows something positive for fans!

As per usual, each of Famitsu reviews gives their own score out of ten and there is a totalled mark at the end. Clearly Q-Games has managed to drag the Star Fox franchise back in line with the quality of the original, most likely thanks to the fact that the founder of Q-Games used to work at Argonaut when it was creating the SNES game with Nintendo!

  • Star Fox Command (NDS, Nintendo): 8 / 8 / 8 / 8 - (32/40)
  • Melty Blood: Act Cadenza (PS2, Sega): 8 / 8 / 8 / 7 - (31/40)
  • Nounai Kakusei Honeycomb Beat (NDS, Hudson): 7 / 7 / 8 / 7 - (29/40)
  • Simple 2000 Series Vol. 104: The Robot Tsuku Rouze! - Gekitou! Robot Fight (PS2, D3): 6 / 6 / 6 / 7 - (25/40)
  • Quiz Kirameki Star Road (NDS, Taito): 6 / 5 / 7 / 6 - (24/40)
  • Simple 2000 Series Vol. 105: The Maid Fuku to Kikanjuu (PS2, D3): 4 / 4 / 3 / 5 - (16/40)

I found StarFox Assault being very poor - especially the ground-missions.
I a glad it got that high a rating. Maybe it is a game for me...

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

I believe its a new puzzle game Smilie

Apparently previous Starfox games received similar scores...so maybe that's not a good sign for Starfox Command Smilie

I can't wait for StarFox Command. I personally felt the last two StarFox games for GC were fantastic and under-rated. I had such a blast with them and everyone I personally know felt the same. I'm really looking forward to the new strategic aspect they've added as well as touch screen control and online modes (oh yeah!).
