Lucky gamers are about to get a major treat courtesy of French outfit Ubisoft. IGN is reporting that other than the exclusive Red Steel and Rayman Raving Rabbids, Ubisoft has revealed a wealth of other titles that are all due during the launch window of the Nintendo Wii!
President & Chief Operating Officer for Nintendo of America, Reggie-Fils Aime, stated:
In return, Laurent Detoc, President of Ubisoft North America, had this to say:
So the list of games is as follows:
- Far Cry,
- Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII,
- Monster 4x4 World Circuit,
- Open Season,
- GT Pro Series (an exclusive from MTO - the makers of the decent GT Advance 1-3 games on the GBA, as well as *ahem* Dogz and Catz on the same handheld),
- Red Steel (exclusive),
- Rayman Raving Rabbids.
And there is the promise of "many more titles in development" for Nintendo's upcoming Wii. IGN also has a very interesting interview about this news here:

Apart from Far Cry there's not much of interest there (sure, there's Red Steel and Rayman4, but I already drooled over these two). It's right, that most of them are ports from 360 games.
But what is interesting with these: How will Gameplay and graphic look like? That's really of importance, because if graphic looks good, then there will be no 'Wii has shitty graphic'-talk - that I would really like to see. If gameplay is good too, then everything goes on Wii - so you can just port from 360 and maybe from PS3 so every publisher stating that Wii is to Wiik is apparently wrong for most of the games.
And Far Cry... It's not important who is doing the port (Crytec are under EA, anyway, are the not?), as long as the port is good.
I am no friend of Instincts, because it takes away the good gameplay and adding these higher-being-powers I do not need.
Far Cry had astonishing graphics back then, had very intelligent opponents, was something of a 'i have to think before I shoot'-FPS and had it mixed up all together very well - so It was a good shooter, no matter what you say! And I hope Ubisoft will upgrade the graphics for Wii and I expect a very good way to control it!
That's why I drolled! And nobody of you can do anything against it! *grrrr*
