    Following the release of Final Fantasy IV Advance on the GBA, Square Enix is gearing up for the Japanese launch of Final Fantasy V Advance on 12th October in that territory. Retailers have now revealed some details about what we can expect from the port:
  • The game's system will be optimised;
  • The graphics will improved (most likely to SNES FFIII standards);
  • New jobs will be included;
  • A special new dungeon will be added;
  • It is classed as a '120% port' (due to the extra content).

  • In addition, the game's official website has now opened and can be found here: http://www.square-enix.co.jp/ff5/

    Updated: New Jobs announced

    NeoGaf confirms two new jobs in Final Fantasy V: Gladiator and Cannoneer.

    Gladiator is an expert with swords, with a skill that attacks all enemies in one turn, with with another that hits back rank enemies with the same amount of damage as those at the front. The cannnoneer uses a canon (surprise, surprise) as his main weapon, combining ammo and other items to damage the enemy.

    Good to here. I finished the ports to the PS and feel bad about missing the new extra content on these versions. It seems weird that these ports are coming so late in the GBA's life.

    Maybe SE should delay the last 2 GBA outing's and give them the FF3 treatment

    Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the cliché. They were the statement and the definition."

    Well there are FF 1 to 12 although there are two 10 games.. so 13 at the moment in the main series.

    Why does it not make sense? FFVI / FFIII US on the SNES looked amazing at the time. FFV is a few notches below FFVI / FFIII US's graphical level, so of course FFV should be bumped up for its remake!
