Ah, I forgot about Excite Truck. I'll add that to Zelda, MP3 and Red Steel.

Impressive list, if they all make it to launch day and not just in the launch period.

I didn't expect to see Farcry, Rayman and Dragon Quest as launch titles. What, Crystal Bearers is there too? Man this is sweet. I wanna get a Wii straight away, but i will be on holiday.

27 games is too many to have at launch, I doubt they'll all make it.

However, there's plenty of decent games to get!

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the cliché. They were the statement and the definition."

    What's this DBZ stuff?

I think it is a fighting game.
My overall superior inquiry-skills have surpassed - again - The New York Times and Der Spiegel and look-y look-y what I found:

It's coming for PS2 and Wii and read about it here - if you do not look around on IGN.com or gamespot...

edit: "It was confirmed in Nintendo Power that gamers, using the motion sensing controller, will be able to control their fighters by carrying a remote in each hand and mimicking moves from the series." (cited from the link stated above)
Now that's great. And on finishing this game you will have muscles like your heroes in the game. So the look of the ordinary geek and the Wii-geek will differ greatly: "Is he working out? He is so buff!" - "No no, that is one of these computer-kids, stay away, he can kill you with one of these remote-controls, her carries!" *mothers drag their children from the streets and shut the windows, dogs are fleing in horror, streets are deserted. On the beach you will get extra-attention with the girls who want to oil you up.*

Are these guys nuts? How the hell am I to cover 27 launch-titles??? I see, I have to make a bank robbery. There are a lot of games I want to get, a lot more then ten, I think...!
Who said Wii would be cheap? I will get a low-price-console, sure, but the rest is spent on games alone...! *grin*
THAT's what a launch should be about: Let the games speak for themselves and let the console help to gain new experiences. That's what I miss with the other two consoles...

Early this morning I was listening to IGN's Wiik in review podcast and they said that although Metroid Prime 3 may be released within the launch window, it may not necessarily be available from launch day.
Speculation as to this sudden change of plans from Nintendo suggests that Wii already as Zelda which is a huge triple A title on day onetherefore releasing both games isde by side could hinder the potential sales of both. Also they want to give 3rd party software a more stable footing within this period.:cooldude:

    Quick shuffle through:

    Garenteed cynical shite:
    Avatar: The Last Airbender (THQ)
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII (Ubisoft)
    Blitz: The League (Midway)
    Cars (THQ)
    Madden NFL 07 (EA)
    Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Activision)
SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab (THQ)

Might be OK, but not really launch showcase material:
    Open Season (Ubisoft)
    Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (Activision)
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (Atari)
    Far Cry (Ubisoft)
    GT Pro Series (Ubisoft)
    Monster 4x4 World Circuit (Ubisoft)
    Wii Sports (Nintendo)
    Need for Speed: Carbon (EA)

    Probably good:
    Call of Duty 3 (Activision)
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors (Square Enix)
    Elebits (Konami)
    Excite Truck (Nintendo)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers (Square Enix)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo)
    Metal Slug Anthology (SNK)
    Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Nintendo)
    Rayman Raving Rabbids (Ubisoft)
    Red Steel (Ubisoft)
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz (Sega)
    Trauma Center: Second Opinion (Atlus)

Not too bad at all, the weight is in the good stuff.

But the first party stuff they do have is quite strong, not like the Waverace/Luigi's mansion of the Gamecube launch. MP3 and LoZ:TP are huge games to launch with. Also RedSteel is being worked on "closely" along with Nintendo. My worry from that list is the lack of a major online killer app aside from FFCC.

27 games - brilliant. Only problem is the quality of the games. A fair few of them seem to be pretty crap at the moment judging by the screens, videos and previews.

yup, more like 3. Zelda, which ill get on Cube. Prime and Final Fantasy.

Yes, a lot of games are not mine, either. But You guys are fast with 'game being shite'.
Especially SegaHund states a lot of crap me and some other chose to buy. I personally think 'Open Season' not to be any better than Spongebob, Cars and Madden - other like to buy the later one like crazy.

I found 11 games worth buying and another 5 worth investigating. I checked on GT pro series for being a well done racing game, probably no arcade-racer.

And so I think you should be a bit more smooth on pointing out what is shit and what is not.
I was positively surprised with Raving Rabbids (and so is SegaHund) and still do not entirely know what Ancel has in store for us. But it is already bought for sure...

I read 03/30/2007 on german store www.okaysoft.de - but since it is only a store, it may not be reliable...

And: I am eager for Metroid Prime 3, but OLU1701 is right. Two AAA-titles will lower every single one's success significantly I think. So it is better to release MP3 some time later. Maybe Christmas?
