Darkness sounds amazing, can't wait for some media from them.

Oh and does this mean Nintendo are picking up the publishing, sounds like it to me Smilie

Oh, Darkness is sounding like an awesome game. "Zelda crossed with Resident Evil."

If its gonna be scary like when you're playing the Marine story in Alien Vs. Predator then i'll be happy. I was jumpy/paranoid out of my mind playing that mode.

Sounds a bit like Eternal Darkness.

This does sound like it will have the same kind of approach as Eternal Darkness, if developers can tap into a new kind of immersion with video games using our very real emotions, such as the feeling of loss in ED when the game tells you your saved data has been wiped, or the feeling of fear touched upon by Greg Szemiot and Greg Nichols in Darkness, or perhaps a game that gives you a geniune feel of euphoria, not the artificial glee of collecting a 1-up, the games industry would take a massive turn. Good luck to CrossBeam.

Eternal Darkness is one of their inspirations, if you look back to our interview with them from ages ago (here). Smilie They say it's for Orb alone, but it's clear that somebody high up there loves the game...

It's quite possible, with them being featured on Nintendo's website, but don't take it as fact just yet. They're still carting demos about.

Either way it can't hurt that Nintendo are promoting and are interested about the game.

I also read sometime ago that Nintendo had patented a new insanity effect for a new video game in the same vein as ED, maybe this is fruition of that?

Darkness has a great concept behind hopefully the game will not be a let down, with Sadness, Darkness, REWii, Red Steel there is already more adult orientated games on the Wii than the CUBE, as for eternal darkness it wasn't scary in the slightest.

Has anyone have any info. on Orb?

Fecking brillaint game though, more of a metroid prime atmosphere than full out scare the pants of you though.
