They should make it so you can't trade untill very late in the game, i remember trading all my Pokemon from yellow to gold but even though it required you to get to a certain part it stil felt it was a bit early. My fault I guess for trading them in the first place

6 Poke'mon transfered a day would mean it would take 65 days to convert all of the old ones across. There will probably be crossovers between old and new Poke'mon though.

I still need to finish the GBA Poke'mon games. I have'nt finished any of them.

I'm recreating my pokemon from red and gold/crystal into the fire red game using codes (because there's no other method) and I will use them in the DS version. Pokemon that I catched like 6 years ago or so will be still with me in the DS games ^_^

The connectivity was known, but the means by which you transfer them and any restrictions weren't. Great to have confirmation of what's available!

True, I think not being able to trade them back (if I read correctly) is a HUUUGE downside however, & if true then I won't be using it, unless it's a Oddish with a funny nickname.
