Nintendo Media | Pro Evolution Themed DS Lite

With the phenomenal news that the new Black DS Lite has completely sold out in Japan in no time at all, it seems only right that Nintendo exploit their firm grasp on the Handheld market even further with yet more special editions of their DS Lite console.

Winning Eleven Soccer (or Pro Evolution, as it's known over here) is the latest franchise to be selected to have it's very own Nintendo DS Lite design released alongside it. You can see the design below as well as a nifty carry case. Nice artwork on the black DS Lite but I think it would be better suited to the White version. Smilie

Love the look of the console, very cool indeed...as for the bag, I'll give that a miss. Nice to see Nintendo cashing in on the DS...lots.

Hmm...not as nice as the Pokemon one. I reckon the design just looks a bit too crowded. But then, I'm a Pokemon fan, and not too keen on football, so...

Any ideas as to how well Pro Evo DS will sell? Another 1millioner or 500ker, as for the design liking it lots.

Does anyone know if it's confirmed WFC compatible? I know they said it is, but recent boxart is missing the WFC logo, which is getting me worried.

I think it looks pretty cool, as for Pro Evo DS, I can see it going either way.

Proper football game fans will already have the PSP, XBOX or PS2 versions, & may not pick this up.

& it seems that the DS is becoming quite the mainstream fave, which means they'll be buying the EA games.

But you never know, I'm sure it'll do well in Japan, as Winning Eleven usually does, but in UK where the mainstream like FIFA, & the proper fans already have the game on another platform...

I dunno, it might do well, let's hope it does.

That looks WAAAAY nicer than the Pokemon one, what are you on about. It's a pretty original way of themeing a console in a football related way as well, instead of just carving Beckham's face and a ball on to it.
