Whoever deemed Nintendo just for kids should be tied up, placed inside a Bomb-omb cannon and shot into the depths of the Mushroom Kingdom. The company today announced the "Nintendo's Coolest Grandparent of the Year" award to prove that everyone is capable of playing games.
In the Nintendo World Store, New York, today a group of Grandparents went head on in the DS's smash hit, Brain Training in a bid to be the best and smartest grand-gamer around. Barbara St. Hilaire of Mantua, Ohio received the honorary title of "Nintendo's Coolest Grandparent of the Year" after dominating the field with her gaming excellence.
She took home two DS Lite systems and 10 games to share with her family of 13 grandkids. "I'm amazed I won! I didn't think I was that good," she said. "I play with my 13 grandkids and they are all gamers. It's a lot of fun." Barbara has been playing games since 1975, being extremely good at a majority of games, bringing her gaming roots into her young'uns.
Congratulations!
