With Pricing details revealed, Nintendo also touched upon a lot of the console's features and have uploaded the Wii presentation shown to the Japanese press. The company discussed the Wii interface, virtual console, channels and a lot more. Inside we have a summary of what was said.

Earlier today Nintendo held the much anticipated conference in Japan, unveiling the Wii, its launch specifics and various tidbits about what the console can do, aside from playing games. The company revealed how a user would operate the Wii, some various details on how the Virtual Console would work, and many more neat interactivities for your home entertainment setup.

I found this crazy trailer on joystiq , it just shows a few games and some people flailing the Wiimote. (i watched it twice so there has to be something to it).

They've already said Opera will be installed on the Wi out of the box, why the 'within a year' bollocks?

C3's Opera Wii interview:

C3: Is this Wii browser set for launch across all territories and how much will it cost?

SH: Yes, I believe Nintendo announced that Wii will be available in November 2006 and will cost less than $250. You will not have to buy Opera as an external item, as it will be available within Wii upon purchase. There is not a separate cartridge as there is for the DS.

That's almost $300 USD.

I'm getting really tired of the price inflation that happens here in Australia. I'll still buy it, but that extra $50 USD kills me.

I suppose an extra wii-mote'll cost close to $100 here. And that's WITHOUT a nunchuck attachment. Bastards.

It's going to be even more expensive here in fucking NZ!!! The DS was priced $30 more than Australia!! Fuck being at the bottom of the world!!! I'm so pissed off!SmilieSmilie
