Ooh, really? Wow...the PSP version maxxed out at around the 110,000-120,000 unit mark in Japan, but it was immensely popular on the PS2.

This is another major coup for Nintendo, if true. But this guy's been right about Chocobo and FFXII so far, so there's no reason to doubt Smilie

I don't think that icons from one franchise work good everywhere else (like Link being in Soulcalibur... oh, crap, that was amazing... Shit, I can't find a good example), but when this game is fun, I want to hear more of it. No. I want to hear more of it to see if it's acutally funny!

Help, I'm confused!

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Given the great result obtained with Mario Basketball: 3on3 it's just to be expected. This rumour hints to a Itadaki Street + Mario Party, which would be really, REALLY great and would confirm once more the recently formed strong allegiance between SE and Nintendo.
Finger crossed...

Woa, the addition of Mario and FF would be amusing!

This is a very interesting post from jarrod on NeoGAF:

...just the 2nd PS2 Itadaki Street had FF/DQ characters... and the PSP version was a port of that game. The series is notable for being Yuji Hori and Armor Project's 2nd biggest franchise (after Dragon Quest)... list!

  • Itadaki Street: Watashi no Oten Niyottete (FC) Armor Project/Loginsoft 1991
  • Itadaki Street 2: Neon Sign wa Bara Iro ni (SFC) Armor Project/??? 1994
  • Itadaki Street: Gorgeous King (PS) Armor Project/??? 1998
  • Itadaki Street 3 (PS2) Armor Project/Tamsoft 2002
  • Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special (PS2) Armor Project/TOSE 2004
  • Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Portable (PSP) Armor Project/TOSE 2006
  • New Itadaki Street (DS) Armor Project/tba 2007

FF, DQ, Nintendo characters in the same game.

Square Enix and Nintendo are having dirty dreams about the sales that this bad boy will get.

SE stated that they will be supporting all 3 consoles but they may as well be handheld exclusive for the DS

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

    @Mr Ashcroft

I don't think SE will soon let go of the PSP, as it still has a pretty large(ish) userbase.

As for the game, I think it'd work well over the WFC with voice chat too. And, oh, I dunno, maybe if it was a port of the NES or SNES one and you could play it over the net with people on their Wii's virtual console. Complicated but awesome.

Woo! It's been confirmed - first scan updated!

Wait, it's DQ & Mario, FF has nothing to do with it. Please correct the news ^^

Another 1m seller for the DS then
