I was going to get this when I first got my ds a few weeks ago. But think I might wait. It doesnt seem to be a very good browser and my phone can already do a mobile version of the internet.
Plus with teh Wii and a far better browser just round the corner, I can wait.

We should be running some pretty soon, so keep an eye out for them. It should be getting some pretty good publicity and in store presence I should hope.

Trying to think of a witty signature after 'Hacker-gate'...

Does anyone know if this has been recieved well in the Japan and the Americas

    @Ashcroft

From what I recall, Japan liked it quite a bit (although not to Pok

It's not looking very promising. first of all Nintendo have made none or little effort to advertise it and now I;m hearing that its slow and only allows you to open one tab. Put that on top of lack of Flash and Java support and you have yourselves a product which I wont be buying.

I would buy it, does anyone know when it's coming out in America? 'Cause that would be nice to know.

I'm getting it, it'll be great way to introduce the net to my internet-phobic elders...or would it? How good is it for ppl new to the net? (Yeah its hard to imagine ppl like that exist, i know, but they do)

Bit odd America hasn't got it yet and Europe has?

I really want this thing! Why hasn't Nintendo atleast released a US date! Smilie

    Meh

Damn straight! made the choice to get it earlier on today, & it's great! It's nowhere near as slow/bad as I expected it to be... the typing may be slow, but I can still use it! (I'm using it right now to post this! Smilie

    YOU CAN GET TABS!!!
Okay, as no-one seems to mention this in the others, and people seem not to read the Opera forums (though I guess they wouldn't unless they were an Opera fan-boy Smilie.)
If you want to view tabs on the DS there's some information HERE.
Also, it's not that slow if you use SSR mode, and to make it even quicker you can remove images (good for somewhere like here with everyone's sig images).

It's also weird why people keep comparing it to the Wii browser...they're completely different, I mean, the DS one is designed for quick use out and about, sitting in college or at an airport or whatever, the Wii one is for use at home...so I don't know why people say they'll get one of the other...get both?? After all the Wii version is free anyway.

I was going to get this until I heard the Wii version was coming out. I think ill just get the Wii version because it will be faster and be able to run more plugins than the DS one can.

Got it today, not very impressive at all... Very slow, clumsy to navigate and no caching of web data.

not really that much of a fan of it. i like the idea but to be fair it runs slow doesnt do flash movies or hardly any other plug in and the price is way to high, i wont be buying it
