UK Chart Highlights LXXXVII
...Classic Nintendo Domination!

Your weekly UK Chart Round-Up brought to you by stat-man jesusraz. Remember, the images here do not reflect actual sales!

Touching is good...right?

Despite the power of Brain Training and the Touch! Generations label, it would seem that unfortunately Big Brain Academy fell away without putting up much of a fight, whilst Tetris barely made a mark on the chart and poor Electroplankton, no matter what targets it fulfilled, never even made a dent in the DS-specific Top 20. So what about 42 All-Time Classics then? Last week it had a modest new entry; can it improve this week, though, or disappear into gaming limbo?

EA Sports: It's in the game!

And just when you thought the domination would cease, FIFA 07 from EA clings on to the No.1 spot again this week. It may have dropped 29% in sales, but it still managed to out-sell more than the following seven games combined! With Pro Evolution Soccer 6 delayed slightly, it certainly has the market wrapped up at the moment. Lego Star Wars II is able to take advantage of Just Cause's two-place drop to rise two and land in the runner-up spot, whilst Tiger Woods 07 holds at No.3. In the All Prices Top 40 (which includes budget games, for those unsure), Chris Tarrant's Brain Training's promo work lifts the game up two to No.8. In the same chart there is a massive leap for 42 All-Time Classics, which has some online media, but will likely be pushed more by the positive Press and word-of-mouth it has been receiving in the past few weeks

I think that Nintendo made a mistake by releasing BBA and BT so close to each other, maybe a month or two apart would have probably helped BBA sales, althought it did all right.

Glad to 42alltime classics recieve a boost, from what i have been hearing is that it is very good.

The DS seems to be a bit bare on the games front at the minute. Anyone know when PES DS is coming out?

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

October 27th Smilie

It's actually been delayed until November, I believe.

10th November, sadly, for PES6 DS

Zoo Tycoon is doing amazing...anyone know why? Because I heard it's terrible!

Gutted about PESDS. Thats actually really very disappointing! Smilie

It is indeed...but I had a feeling the Japanese delay would effect us, no matter what Konami's UK representative told me last month.

Still, it's being firmed up and the Wi-Fi play will be great!
