It's the sales figures of Cars, Carbon and Madden that gives me the creeps... *shudders*

Why does this rubbish gets this much attention? Okay... biiig fat license. But it's creepy anyway!

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Lol, tis a bit creepy, but from what I hear it's not *too* bad a game - but 300,000?!

Ah the magic of hype. It will sell anything. Even average to below average games. Look what happened to ICO on the PS2 when it first came out. Hardly anyone bought and because of the the reviewers gave it a "okish" score (meaning many are sheep). A year or so later and somebody says OMG this game is actually amazing and one of the most beautiful on the console. Let's all give it a perfect "revised" review (baa baa). Smilie

I think if kiddies loved the film then the game even if it is average will still give them some joy.

I look forward to the potential multiplayer opportunities in Metroid when that comes out on the 22nd December (according to play.com). Wonder if Red Steel will have multiplayer, I haven't read anything on that possibility.

Woooooooo!!!

EA have quite high expectations for their games.

As for Laurelin i agree the licensed shit does sell to much but apparently Madden Wii is meant to be very good

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

Uh, Madden Wii is really very good (according to...), as was Need for Speed Most Wanted (compared to NFSU) and Cars, well, if it wasn't there, Ninty would surely lose some Wii sales, I mean, kids DO exist you know. Smilie

EA + innovation = "OMFG EA!? You're kidding right? This I gotta see! *DUNNNN*"

But yeah, Prince of Persia sounds unlikely, I mean just no screens/info or anything...

Midway don't seem very confident do they... Smilie

There is only a handful of games i'll be buying for my Wii at launch. Indeed, as above, the overwhelming numbers of games that suck *ahem* scrote, with such high sale figures worries me.

I did pre-order my Wii in my local Game store. They estimate they're getting 80 in and I was 44th in the list ... so I imagine I won't be getting mine until early next february.

They need to release a full on Star Wars / Sword-esque game which will teach us all to be master swords(wo)men. Red Steel looks great but I feel like it's lacking something (which I can't put my finger on).

Capcom enjoy working with Nintendo, so hopefully some time in the future, a Devil May Cry game will be wii-i-fied ... which will truly please.

Enough rabbiting though, Prince of Persia i've heard things about, and saw a few screenshots but they're more than likely to be PS2-related.

Trauma Center for the DS became monotonous after two surgeries, and I can't see it being any different on the Wii.

I'll be buying The Grim Adventures game though - because Grim rulez.

How does that work? Surely even the 80th on the list would get one too if there are gonna be 80 in stock? Smilie

By the sounds of things, you should be alright! Smilie

I've learnt from past experiences that if you're not under 30th on the list, you won't be getting one until a few weeks after release.

They tell you these 'Oh we'll have enough to supply for you and all of the people you've ever looked at' to lure you into a false sense of security, before taking your money and laughing when you leave the shop.

I should know, i've been one of those people Smilie

True Surround Sound? Online multiplayer? HD Graphics? A Traditional control method?

Smilie

There are way too many games in that list that I would like to buy ( Zelda is the essential launch-purchase, followed by Trauma Center: Second Opinion and Excite Truck ) - since I will only have money for the console, one game and some precious Wii-points.

Ah well.

Fortunately christmas is around the corner then. Smilie

there are about 10-15 games that i like in that list!!! And ill probbaly only end up buying about 5!!! Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

You read my mind dojo Smilie

Really? Smilie I think it'll be fine! As long as you get to the shop early, I'm sure you'll get one! Smilie

I mean.... if you're 44th... then I think you're pretty much certain one Smilie

Disney's/Pixar's Cars - THQ (300,000)

Thats 300,0o0 kiddies feeling let down by the wii this christmas then?

And theres something about the red steel character designs that just aren't quite right...

Avoid Games Like the Plague, productivity++

Actually, Cars has received some pretty damn good reviews.

Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII - Ubisoft
Call of Duty 3 - Activision (200,000)
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 - Atari (200,000)
Elebits - Konami
Excite Truck - Nintendo

Madden NFL 07 - Electronic Arts (500,000)

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Nintendo
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent Ubisoft

Yeah, tiamat, I agree. Its really surprising to see games there that you'd never see on GameCube in a million years!

Smilie
