Nintendo DS Media | Pinky Street DS

By James Temperton 18.10.2006 9

Well folks, I haven't reported the news in a very long time (over a month), but now I'm back with a bang, and a pink, camp, Japanese bang at that! Pinky Street is a game for the Nintendo DS that recently scored 8/8/6/7 - 29/40 in Famitsu, which is very good indeed.

The game is based on a recent craze in Japan of the same name. From what we can gather it involves dressing up, fashion, dancing and generally being innocent and lovely. No guns, just cute skirts and accessories to die for. If like us you are still confused and want to find out more, you can stare in amazement at the very cool Japanese website here.

We've even selected some glam-tastic screens for you to enjoy. Check those out below. More Pinky Street goodness soon we hope...

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

yeah it does look very girly!! Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Wtf are you talking about? Its So obviously for the lads, innit?

Recomended:

Watching "Japanarama" with Johnathen Ross.

It gives a big insite into their crazyness.

I'm sure living in a pool of treacle gives a good insight into the craziness of unrecommended things like eating dead squirrels, etc. [/spellin nazi, obv]

I've seen it though and there was a bit that I thought was pretty bad, when JR danced and did that slightly homoerotic dance with Japan's gay idol...SmilieSmilie

Thanks eagle-eye.

29/40 for what appears to be a sickeningly girly game is 'not bad at all', I reckon. But, to be honest, it wouldn't matter what score it got...this is likely to be a slow-burner due to its popularity amongst Japanese girls in general anyway.
