By Jorge Ba-oh 18.10.2006 8

Nintendo DS and successful are two words that have been seen together in abundance recently and recent sales figures in Japan continue the trend.

Enterbrain has published the top 10 selling titles in the country from the last 6 months, and one can guess which format takes 9/10 spots..

1) New Super Mario Brothers (Nintendo, DS): 3.09 million
2) Motto Otona no DS Training (Nintendo, DS): 1.53 million .
3) Winning Eleven 10 (Konami, PS2): 1.04 million
4) Otona no DS Training (Nintendo, DS): 900,000 .
5) Oideyo Dobutsu no Mori (Nintendo, DS): 870,000 .
6) Tetris DS (Nintendo, DS): 840,000 .
7) Final Fantasy III (Square Enix, DS): 730,000 .
8) Otona no DS Training Eigo (Nintendo, DS): 670,000 .
9) DS Oryori Navi (Nintendo, DS): 500,000 .
10) Tamagochi no PuchiPuchi Omissetchi (BNG, DS): 500,000

Certainly very impressive statistics for Nintendo's ever glowing protable. Thanks to C3 reader Mr. Ashcroft for the tip.

Smilie wow great news!! By the way where is Pokemon???

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

It only came out about three weeks ago and, either Enterbrain has done that totalling from before then, or they are counted as different SKUs and as such, didn't each individually sell more than 500,000 (well, not yet anyway :tongueSmilie

They are my thoughts Smilie

There's too many Nintendo's up there...That's what worries me, that developers just can't compete and give up.

Piff, Sony don't stand a chance against Nintendo
