Nintendo News | Strong Wii Stock Supply for Europe

A huge shipment of Nintendo's new system, Wii, has now arrived in Europe ahead of launch on December 8th and with an unprecedented number of pre-orders having been taken, it is likely that there will be exceptional demand for the system when it goes on sale in Europe.

Nintendo is doing their utmost to replenish stocks and ensure that as many people as possible who want to experience Wii, can do so in time for Christmas. But the message for shoppers is clear

Trauma Center isn't a launch title. Also, how much news wants to be posted inside an hour, eh?

Also also, if you haven't preordered, go to random places like Asda, Tesco etc. They might be stocked up.

I'm very sad. Very. Those of you lucky enough to live NOT IN CORNWALL will probably be able to go to a midnight release. Wish I could say the same for me. Apparantly the GAME I preordered mine from is opening at 7:00AM SPECIALLY.

Wow. I have to wait an extra 7 hours. What fun. I won't even have Yoshi's Island 2 by then, since I'm not spending any money until I get a Wii Smilie

Oh well, I guess I'm one of the lucky people who managed to secure a good preorder... Smilie

I am starting to get worried if i will get my Wii on launch because my GAME are only guaranteeing before Christmas and i am only 14 on my list.

I don't think people will have to wait that long after those who preordered for consoles. Even so I don't think the really good games are comign out for launch anyway so I am willing to wait. Who knows, there may even be talk of a black version.

lol, I pre-ordered but now I've found there's not much point...turns out that I can't afford any launch games...so I hope Wii Sports is playable enough to keep me occupied. =D

Better to ask the game shop if they will give one. From my knowledge they will be a bit tight and only give to those who have pre-ordered first. Fist you might have an Asda or Tesco which is open 24 hours in your area they would be unlikely suspects for a launch. If they are open 24 hours then they would be able to sell the Wii at midnight on the Thursday/Friday Morning.
