Many are eager to know if Nintendo's Wii console will see an iteration of the Grand Theft Auto series. So far, though, the issue is a cloudy one. Therefore, when Game Head interviewed Nintendo of America's president, Reggie Fils-Aime, it was no surprise that the question popped up.
But according to Reggie, Nintendo has done all it can to persuage Take Two and it is now up to the Third Party publisher to decide whether Rockstar's immensely popular series will appear on Wii. What you will NOT see, though, is a Mario spin-off version of GTA...
Other points talked about were that Nintendo is still working on some new Wii Channels, in addition to the Weather and News ones that are currently being tweaked, plus there will be new announcements in the first quarter of 2007 about games compatible with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, with the first to use the system in North America coming in the second quarter of next year. Finally, Fils-Aime touched upon how he was not sure yet whether Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will be online or not.
