Software Chart - This Week | Total Sales

total software coverage for Nintendo was 80% and hardware was 70%, meaning total Nintendo domination this week.
Nintendo must be the richest company in the world.
Iwata really has turned Nintendo around he deserves a gold star.
Also Raz you forgot to mention that Jump Stars also seems likely to beat the original in sales as well.
*ding ding ding. pokemon wins by knockout in the 7'eth round
Hulkamania, I think that's a given, since JSS only just managed to scrape over 500,000, whilst JUS is already ready to zoom past that mark!

I seem to recall it getting of to a pretty average start in it's first two weeks and everyone (well whom commented on it) including both of us doubted it would reach JS 550k-75k mark.
Nice sales for Nintendo
Japan is handheld land, i don't know why they are so shit compared to consoles

Pokemon!
always expected.
Japanese are pokemon freaks!
That's true about JUS's start, but that was in the face of an extraordinary first week for Love and Berry. Now the Christmas period appears to be carrying it nicely.
I'd also expect a boost for Common Knowledge Training next week as well.
Almost half a million DSes that week? Crazy!

Common Knowledge another million seller forgot about it.
Good god Iwata must clean his arse with $100 bills
When you think about it - A video games main purpose is to be interactive and entertain. DS, Wii and Nintendo are all about this. Sony and Microsoft really need to grow up, or atleast wake up and realise their chosen path can only lead to stagnation.
To be honest, given the low start last week, the following is pleasing:
39.) Chocobo and the Magic Picture Book (NDS, Square Enix) - 27,000 | 53,000 [ 34% ]
Why? Because that means it sold more this week than in its first week on sale, and there's still roughly another 106,000 units left of the initial stock that would bump it nicely towards the 200,000 mark...a sales mark Square Enix would probably be happy with considering how previous Chocobo games have never done well.
Oh, and there's talk of it being translated for the West next year...
PlayStation Portable - 138,588
Christmas boosted PSP enough for it to sell what DSL sells in a normal week....
No brain training game in the top 10!!!!!!
Thats like the first time in a year!
The PSP is bound to go back down again very soon. The boost wasn't only because of MGS, but because the third of its three new colours was released at the same time as Konami's new title (and bundled with it, in fact).
I wonder if the Wii managed to scrape past the million mark before the end of the year? Probably...
Me thinks SE should have waited a few months before releasing Chobobo
