Nintendo Media | Majesco Sweetens the DS Flavour

Majesco have revealed some shots of their fast paced quirky cake baking simulation for the DS as part of the growing trend in Home Ec games. Cake Mania, for those who don't carry flour in their pockets.

Cake Mania is a port from an original online epic of the same name from Sandlot Games. The DS version comes complete with touch screen features to distribute menus, collect cash and most importantly bake, frost and decorate your delicious treats.

  • The complete original game plus Back to the Baery expansion.
  • Over 80 levels and goals.
  • Five different bakery locations: Home, Beach Front, Ciruce, Casino and Hawaii.
  • Customise your kitchen!
  • Players take the role of Jill who finds her grandparents' bakery closed down due to a rival mart. She must bake to save the age-old bakery for her grandparents.

    So is it like cooking mama only limited to baking cakes?

    Avoid Games Like the Plague, productivity++

    It sounds like it...All I know is:

    1.) It was a MASSIVE hit on the PC (from what I've heard);
    2.) Sandlot worked with Nintendo on the DS mech game that launched late last in Japan!
