At least it looks like doing much better than the woeful GT Pro (No.33 new entry last week). And great to see Wario doing well from the first day. Perhaps it can keep going strong for a good while into the future and rack up at least 300,000 sales.

I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure Wario Land 4 passed the 300,000 mark...

really nice sales for Wario and Excite Truck.

Glad to see Excite Truck selling well because it seemed to get ignored in America.

The DS has a shit load of platformers, with King of Swing, Yoshi's Island and Dk v. Mario to also hit this year there is defintely more great plaformers scheduled for the DS.

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the cliché. They were the statement and the definition."

I am looking forward to Excite Truck. With the two former 'racing-games' made by Ubisoft failing miserably (at least regarding quality), maybe people in USA are frightened... *grin*

But I want to get this game asap here in Europe. Wario doing well is also great. We need great games doing well, because otherwise Wii drops like Gamecube. That means, that games must be good. Period! But Excite Truck (only 2 players?) looks promising and well done.

Great game imho. Hope to see a review soon. Or is there one present already?

Isn't is schedlued for the 9th or 16th of Feburary in Europe, will be a definite must get for me.

I have heard it is quite shallow due to a lack of an online mode. Which is something the game could have done with, but i have heard that the multiplayer is great craic so it is a must buy for the Hulkster.

But the "real winner" has sold the least copies.

Atlus is worse than Square Enix at estimating demand it seems!

    Yep very true but i am sure Atlus probably weren't expecting such a strong response to their game after all there is;
Pokemon, Children of Mana, DQSlim Mori, DQMJ, FFIII, Tales of Tempest, all out there all really big franchises.

With more FF's & DQ's to come it has done great despite the very stiff competition.

Anyone have any idea what Etrian Odyssey is like, is it good or shit? What did Famistu give it?

Say just out of curiousity is Atlus American or Japanese company?

Etrian Odyssey...In japan its called the mazes throughout the world...

From its website it looks like a 3D 1st person game with random(?) turn based battles.
Apparently you draw out your own map on the bottom screen based on where you've been.

Adam, looking forward to read this Review. Is there a European release date? Sometimes in February?

Wario doing well, suppose all Nintendo's DS's games do.

Another popular week for Nintendo's formats. 21k for the PS3, that's terrible for a new console that is readily available.

It looks like ExciteTruck may have done around the 27,500 mark, which isn't too bad at all. If it can hang on and reach at least 200,000 it should get a sequel with any luck!

Most Wii games that needed online play (i.e. not Ice Age 2 etc.) lacked online play that would've really boosted their longevity (and sales), therefore I'd say it was a safe bet to guess that we'll see an ET sequel Smilie

i am dying for Excite Truck, so naturally i am hoping for strong sales which will guarantee a sequel with online play or even Excite Bike.

Wow, the PS3 is tanking. It seems to be fighting with the PS2 rather than the Wii.

Despite the rip roaring success of the DS, the PSP is holding up nicely already sold 500k more than the GameCube, it's in the software department were it is failing.

Wario Master of Disguise is an excellent little platform game that uses the stylus for most of its control - thoroughly enjoyable!

And looking at some of the figures I've just added in, it appears ExciteTruck might have sold ~27,000 units in its first week. Zelda and WarioWare are both holding strong as well!
