Recent News
Midway have released the first footage and demonstration of how their flagship fighter, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon will work with the Wii's unique interface. Producer Ed Boon explains. In a video documentary, Boon discusses how to swing, poke and maneuver your Wii remote and nunchuck to control the warriors as they once again engage in fierce and gruesome battles.

MarzySo easy you'll see your grandmother creating fatalitys
Actually it looks suprisingly good and i'm glad fatalitys are a little easier to produce as on Deadly Alliance I couldn't even do them. Anyway the control system looks simple, but great to use, the visuals look splendid and overall it's not looking to bad. I might just by it.

jbcubed3.My god it's a double edged sword here - good in some ways, nice use of the Wii-mote to replicate some of the character's attacks.
However, the facilities look like a piece of piss to do, which in the previous ones came with a nice button pressing combination that made you feel rewarded for pulling it off..
Ah well, looks better than average I suppose!

The CroftWell i will be darned, this looks facking great.
Looks really easy and intuitive to play with the Wii remote, kudos to Midway (never thought i would say that).
Glad to see a developer who has sense to use all alternative control schemes.
But i can't see why you wouldn't want to use the Wii remote.
Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the cliché. They were the statement and the definition."

James2t3I hate button mashing fighters that needs strings of buttons to be pressed in exact sequence just to pick your nose, it feels like learning binary code.
This system could still be confusing though if you have to learn strings of arm flailing.
The motion detection needs to be spot on aswell.

Mike@C3Whoa, that actually looks decent! I wasn't expecting much at all, it's gone from an 'avoid' to a 'rent' for me!

jbcubed3.Lol, but just look at how dodgy the fatalities look - it seems like beating off your Wiimote in timed order to pull it off! The regular moves seem pretty interesting to do though, would be worth giving it a try..

Mike@C3That's why it's only a rent for me, the fatalities.
Gameflirt.co.uk is good for Wii rentals.

How does it work Mason, and can you keep it for as long as you like?

Mike@C3There are a few different packages, I use the £9.99 a month one. You put together a wishlist of games you want and rate them with a priority setting of either high, medium or low. They send you a game as high on your priority list as possible depending on what they have in, first class free delivery, and you keep it as long as you like. Once you're done with it, you pop it back in the provided first class pre-paid envelope and put it in the postbox. On the package I'm on, you can have one game at a time, as many as you like in a month - so, theoretically, if you had enough games on your wishlist, postage times were perfect each time and you only played each game for a day before returning it, you could have up to 10 in a month.

IfritXVIII think this looks awesome! I'm not too bothered about the fatalities as I never could do the old ones anyway.

Mike@C3No problem. They should give me it free for a month, the amount of people I've told about it.
Oh, there's a 10 day free trial as well.

James2t3I think people were just expecting crappy literal controles like wiiboxing or that dragon ballz game on the wii but it looks allright and seems to respond well in the video.
I think it's just better than what most people were expecting hardly a must have though.

noneSo much for the days I would spend memorising moves and then the weeks trying to pull them all off. It just looks so easy now. No more button mashers, we have now entered the age of 'flailers' where all you have to do to win is have a fucking seizure.
