Nintendo News | Conspiracy Appears on Wii

By Adam Riley 09.02.2007 7

Developer, publisher and marketer of interactive entertainment, Conspiracy Entertainment has just revealed its intentions to release a brand new game on Nintendo's Wii in conjunction with Hyper-Devbox, a Japanese developer. Under the terms of the agreement, Conspiracy Entertainment will receive North American and European publishing and marketing rights for the new game. With a working title of "Shoot Out," this futuristic 3-D mech shooting game pits freedom fighters against alien robot machines in a fight for control of earth.

Below are some comments from various members of the companies:

"This game was a hit within the arcade/coin-up market and is now being retooled for the Wii platform. We are very excited to collaborate with Conspiracy to increase the intensity and enjoyment of the game, while remaining true to its original and much-loved design and aesthetic. The freedom of Wii's distinctive handheld wireless controller is ideal for creating a 3D 'shoot 'em up' experience and will allow players a greater feeling of interaction."
- Carlo Perconti, president of Hyper- Devbox.

"We look forward to working with an established developer such as Hyper-Devbox on our first Wii game. We anticipate to secure other gaming projects in the near- future for the Wii platform."
- Sirus Ahmadi, president of Conspiracy Entertainment.

"The Wii platform is achieving rapid market acceptance. We plan to release 'Shoot Out' in the second quarter of 2007, as part of our efforts to capitalise on the fastest growing segments of the $30 billion global video gaming industry. This is just the beginning of our intention to enter the Wii market."
- Keith Tanaka, CFO of Conspiracy Entertainment.

The Wii platform is achieving rapid market acceptance

So they're in it for the money Smilie

Just checked them on Wikipedia: wow they make some shovelware!!!

"This man has advanced communist views ... He dresses in a bohemian fashion both at his office and in his leisure hours."

I must admit... I am a bit surprised with how soon developers that would have never developed for a Nintendo platform are now making it public that they have various projects in the works.

The key to this must be the successful launch and sustained sales drive by Nintendo for the Wii. We all know with hardware volume comes 3rd party support. I hope Nintendo can maximize their effort for 2007 because this yr is key to long term success.

Heh heh, I saw the title and thought Nintendo started sending surveillance programs to our Wii's, I don't know how it'd work, but it's a conspiracy damnit!

Anyways, their name sounds familiar, but I've heard nothing of their accomplishments, I shall consult the Great Wikipedia for guidance on this.... oh wow. Even the Great Wikipedia lacks much knowledge on this subject. I've never heard of any of their games. That might say more about me than them though.

Conspiracy is the publisher behind Flipper Critters on DS, plus two Baha Racing Wii games, I believe...

sounds interesting!! never heard of that company!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Did they support the GameCube?

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."
