Yay?

Nay

Looks like a linear slash em up.

I HERD U LIEK TEH MUDKIPZ?

Naturally, with such an early and vage news (not your fault, C3!), you can't possibly rate the quality of the game.
But this somehow stilised finishing move, waving a 'Z' with your Wiimote is like Zorro's been invented for Wii! With Wiimote raised above your head, you can swing a whip, with it making fencing(!) moves in front of you, you can fence... Naturally, I see no evil things preventing this game from being good.
But I hope they do not do endless fights, more making an action adventure in the best meaning of this word: adventuring and a bit less fighting. Like in the movies, where action scenes follow adventuring and character scenes. This is a great chance. Hope they do not let it pass untaken...

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Woohooo!! Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

They look like DS graphics with slightly better textures...

Dude yuor totally awesome. And i won't be killing you anytime soon.

You sure must have better shots there than me, because I see no shots where I can judge the graphics - either good or bad. Too dark, too meaningless and too less light, fog and countryside in it.

Wow, I like the new technique they've used. Making it so dark that you can't even tell if the game looks good or bad Smilie

It doesn't look too bad!!! For a budget price it might be worth it otherwise it's a rental. The graphics look kinda 3rd gen PS2 for my taste but I've seen worse!!!

What kind of people rent games like this? I don't really understand, people often say 'it's a rental' when it's really mediocre looking. It'll still be really mediocre to play even if you only have it for a few nights.
I can only see any point in renting something that's at least quite good but very short lived, or that's expensive and you're not sure you'll like it.

The cost of renting all these shitty games must really be adding up for some people...

Is it set in the Dark aGES?

You know a game will be bad when they create such bad health meters. The HUD is horrific.

This game will be nothing more than find the hidden item that you need to carry on to the next section.

I will not be buying this game.

Woooooooo!!!

Lol, not my cuppa tea as far as games go, but i suppose if they have Tanto that would be even more funny- Hi Yo Silver!. LS- hates most movie licensed titles.

My n54 produced better graphics than that. So what if I can draw a Z with the Wiimote, big whoop.

I'm not usually one to judge at such an early stage, but it must be said, this is looking awfully dire. The 'amazing' Z-slash maneuver would get boring after a few times of doing it, anyway. There'd have to be a pretty big turn around for this game to interest me in the slightest.

Graphicaly, thats PS2.
But thats fine...if this is a newish development studio, they hardly are going to be brillent out of the gates.

Also, its good that the Wii is encourageing so many "have a go" type game developments.

The goodness of this game will completely depend on the controlls.

Gestures to button mapping simply wont do.

as for the graphics;
Message for developers:
Use advanced lighting, and burn it into your textures. Without using any more cpu or gpu power that scene would instantly look better.
(light should fall off torwards edges and corners)

The only excuse I can think of for a Wii game to have PS2 quality graphics is if it is a straight port with tacked on controls (like Scarface probably will be). Anything else, and they've got a more powerful devkit to work with.

Budget, Teamsize, and Skill determain graphics far more then system spec and dev kits.

A consoles processors only set the upper-limits. It still takes skill to fill them.

That's useless if there's real-time day/night cycles and stuff, though. Static shadows which do not move even when the source of light does (and when other real time shadows do), look shit.

I personally think the graphics have an odd charm to them...that's not saying that the game won't suck though Smilie
