Professor Layton does indeed look very good. I said earlier, that it has some magic in the background-plates like Studio Ghibli does, looking very similar. Maybe that adds too.

Why is Lumines 2 selling so low and why don't they have more stock? Having roughly 10.000 initial stock is not that much. I thought, that part 1 was a good seller/game on PSP?

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Demo of the game

42% i think its pretty good!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!

Some good DS sales there.

Just another day of PSP being owned by NDS, in Japan!!! Sony, should just euthanize the system!

With any luck Professor Layton will reach 100,000 by the end of the sales week and nab the top spot from Tales of Destiny 2 Smilie

The PSP is selling very well, above average for a handheld 2 years on the market, it's just that the DS sales are nothing we have ever seen before. Although the PSP's software sales worldwide leave alot to be admired.

What's Nintendo's next big in-house game on the DS and Wii? Anybody know Smilie

For the DS it's Yoshi's Island, which is coming very soon. As for Wii, Fire Emblem and Mario Party 8.

Cheers Raz, all them should be big big sellers.

What's the next third party title? Is there anything before Final Fantasy on April 24th?

On the DS there's always Front Mission 1st and Heroes of Mana, both set for March in Japan from Square Enix.

On the Wii there's a fishing game from Hudson and Dragon Quest Swords from S-E.

1.) Professor Layton & the Mysterious Village (NDS, Level 5)

Hooray! Now, translate it and bring it over here bitches.

Cheers Raz, thanks alot.

Another solid week for Nintendo it seems, a shame though Hotel Dusk seems to have not re-entered the top 10, lack of interest? low stock?

Probably because professor Layton is so so awesome. Why would you buy Hotel Dusk if that AWESOME game just came out?

I've been playing it lately, and damn you either need a guide for the questions or know Japanese VERY well! So I've missed out on the story, but the game is split into numerous video clips (all fully voiced), followed by static scenes where you click on random areas of the place you're currently in to collect special coins, talk to locals and, of course, gain access to the puzzles.

Very pleasing stuff indeed, and damn the soundtrack is so good! Smilie Deserves to have long legs like Brain Training...

Playing the demo and seeing this game in action made me cum loads. It is THE game for the DS ever.

Damnit Adam! I nearly came again.Smilie Don't make me import this game and make me miss out on the -I'm sure- wonderful dialogue!

I'm not getting this whole Professor Layton thing... The characters look awful and the name makes it sound incredibly boring...

Nintendo DS Lite - ~150,000 (suffering from shortages)
PlayStation Portable - ~35,000 (boosted by Monster Hunter Portable 2's impending release)

Wow....

Cubed3 Member

Don't want to give you's all the numbers that Raz's job Smilie.

But it's the same old story DSlite thomps PSP, and Wii outsells the PS3, and well the 360 isn't worth mentioning.

So the DS (phat and lite) are a measley 71,767 units short of surpassing sales totals for the GBA line. Astounding!!!

That makes the DS a mere 5,073,661 units shy of selling more than the PS2!!! Can Nintendo do it?

Also combined sales of Nintendo hardware exceeded the sale of all other hardware by 126,217!!!

39/50 on Nintendo formats, that's just bloody CRAZY.

A shame that Zelda is at N0.41, come on now there is no excuse not to buy this. It's also a shame at the sheer amount of titles that have still to reach US, never mind Europe that are in the Japanese top50.

Onto first day sales, great figures for all the games, and WHOA! 500k for Monster Hunter on the PSP. Jeppers.
