Nintendo's new Wii system is meant to be tailored to providing a cheaper, easy to develop experience for developers, hopefully encouraging smaller teams to jump on-board due to decreased risks. With this in mind, Cubed3's Adam Riley quizzed veteran UK developer Ste Pickford on various subjects in a recently published interview, including that of supporting the Virtual Console with new content such as his team's (newly formed Zee-3) Naked War project that is currently available on PC. This was his response:
"Yes, it would be great to get a game on there. Naked War would be perfect for Nintendo's online service as well, as a messaging game like ours would go well with their concept of leaving your console permanently connected to the internet and feeding you new content overnight. Naked War would be fun with your own Mii characters in there as well!"
For the moment, though, unless Zee-3 is directly approached by Nintendo it seems the company is focused on its current PC project(s). If you feel strongly about seeing Zee-3 work on Wii or revive its old franchise 'Plok', then politely piece together your requests and direct them here: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/webform.jsp.
