Update - The Virtual Console has gradually been building up a stronger and stronger library and now one of the best games of all time has launched on the system, Zelda: Ocarina of Time from the N64. Here is the official Press Release:

I probably wont get OOT because I still have it on N64 and I have the Master Quest on Gamecube but I may just have to get Kid Icarus because I've heard lots of good things about it

Pretty cool, but I'll stick to the 64 or Gamecube version. They need to get more out there that I don't already have.

Nice, where the hell is bloomin' Link to the Past (in Europe anyway)? OOT is cool, but there's just so many copies of it in this household. N64, GC edition, the rom, updated texture pack edition...

That is really good news aswell as Kid Icarus.. which i havent played and there are loads of people that havent played that game so this is geat news for people to have a go at it!!

Lol, I need that game. A SNES is pretty rare to find in my local GS and I've only played Lttp to on the GBA, so a VC entry would be great. It's already hit the US so there's not much stopping it launching over here!

Sigh, I have OOT twice and I have Mario Kart 64...when will an N64 game be released on the VC that I don't have/want to buy?

I too am waiting for LTTP. never played it before, and I love 2D Zeldas with a passion.
It definetely is being released on here, it's on Wikipedia as an upcoming release.
Something tells me it'll be this week, so check the Wiki page on Tuesday/Wednesday for a release date.
