By Jorge Ba-oh 23.02.2007 25

A handful of shots from Forever Blue and Battalion Wars have hit the good old Internet for those wanting some Friday night Wii screens action.

Batallion Wars 2
The Wii sequel to the 2005 GameCube classic of the same name takes players into yet another world full of war antics in a bid to save the nation. The sole screen of an updated build in action:

Forever Blue
A mysterious game takes players into the depths of a clear blue ocean to discover various critters who live down below. The Wii title features Wi-Fi play for simultaneous dives on a global scale.

Be sure to stick around for future media updates..

Those screen shots look awesome!
It seems the Wii is already leaving its launch window type not-so-good games now developers have had the final dev kits for while.

Those forever blue screen shots have got me quite interested now, but the most they've released is about a five second trailer which doesn't show much. I hope it controls and plays well.

There's a british-themed army so I assume that's their turf.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

BW2's got some pretty good draw distances.

I think we're definitely seeing examples of how Wii games definitely can look far better than GC ones if given the care and attention Third Parties aren't doing right now.

Let's hope nobody does a cheap Photoshop of a Forever Blue shot with Steve Irwin's face on the diver... Smilie

It's a diving game, swim about, find sea creatures, swim with friends. That's all they've really revealed for the moment. Smilie

I heard somewhere that Forever Blue was a port of the PS2 title, is this true?

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

Graphics are good enough, some pretty Wii games are emerging. Medal of Honour Vanguard seems to look quite good, as does "No More Hereos."

If Battalion Wars will have wi-fi then I may get it.
Forever blue seems cool too, swimming freely in the ocean with other people online Smilie

Forver Blue looks something you can play for a maximum of two minutes then realise it just a gimmick.

Both titles look great to me, and Forever Blue got me especially interested.

I can't wait to hear more details on what the WiFi is like.

Smilie (curses lack of stars again)

Forever Blue - hmm. I think I'll reserve judgement on that one for now. Batallion Wars II, however, has an excellent pedigree and no excuse not to be incredible. (Although I probably won't buy it anyway due to it being an RTS.) Wiimote-shooting/troop movement is a must, but how about Wi-Fi multiplayer too? (Read: it had better have Wi-Fi multiplayer or I shall call it rude names until it breaks down and cries.)

Screwing the rules since 1989.

Battalion wars 2 is one of the few titles confirmed to have online multiplayer, think forever blue is online aswell.

Smilie BW2 looks awsome!! Smilie cant wait!! it looks so cooool!

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

As far as I'm aware it's a new Nintendo franchise, so no, it's not true. Smilie However, it is being developed by Arika, a team who have done diving games before on PS2, in a third party agreement. In that way it might be seen as some kind of sequel, but it's not a port, it's an all new game developed exclusively for Wii.

Both of these games look superb. The draw distance on BW2 is astounding and the detail on the 'copter is brilliant - looking forward to both of them.

Helicopters require blades Smilie That looks like a new aerial unit to me, unless fighters can now attack stuff on the ground Smilie

well i think btw is looking really good. good detailing. yippee no more worst than gamecube graphics, i say tht but well i will be wrong. lol

Wow, now I can swim around with fish in a game.Smilie I hope theirs more then that to it. BW2 looks ace, I'll certianly be getting that!

Enoch Powell was right, and you know it.

Forever Blue looks briliant, just the sort of game i want right now, i have been scuba diving in the Maldives so it would be a nice fix if it's done well. LS

been anticipating Forever Blue since I read a'boat' its wifi multiplayer and saw those first screens a few months ago. Gimmick? riiiiight.

Battalion Wars II looks awesome! Definitely on my Wii Games List! Forever Blue looks quite good but I'm not into those kinda games

Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane? No... it's just Tubbimora...

Battalion Wars Wii looks great, as do the forever blue screens. It will be interesting to see how much action the Wii will be able to handle in Bwii.
