Nintendo News | Data Design Brings 13 PS2 Ports to Wii

By Jorge Ba-oh 27.02.2007 44

The Wii is increasingly becoming prone to receiving PS2 ports, and English developer Data Design Interactive seeks to continue this unfortunate trend after recently acquiring a license to develop Wii titles. The studio plan on porting 12 of their PC and PS2 titles to the system this year.

1/2 of these will hit retail in Q2 2007, whilst the remaining set in the second half.

Be sure to check out the following links for exciting information and screens on each:

  • Monster Trux Offroad
  • Hamster Heroes
  • Ninjabread Man
  • Trixie In Toyland
  • AnubisII
  • Action Girlz Racing
  • Mini Desktop Racing
  • Myth Makers - Orbs Of Doom
  • Myth Makers - SuperKart GP
  • London Taxi Rushour
  • Billy Wizard
  • Earache Extreme Metal Racing
  • Rock N Roll Adventures

Lol, these look the absolute shit. Bomb on day one. Unfortunately the Wii doesnt have enough shelf space that the PS2 does to hide these crappy looking ports. Why cant they spend the time and make one really good Wii game then 13 10 minute control-tack-a-thons.

Because they are 3rd Parties. That is what they do.

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

I agree these people do need bombed if not at least pissed on.

    This is truely piggin.

Actualy EA is. Erm, why do you seem to try to argue with me in every post? Do you have a life?

Anyhow, Nintendo at least makes original games. Like, they make there games, they work on them and put them out.

This is porting. Just bring some code over, change a few colors, done.

There is a BIIIIIG diffrence. Smilie

Not to mention Capcom. Just how may Mega Man games are they that are the same game? How many Resident Evils' did we get before RE4? How many Samurai Slashers dose Koei put out? How many GTA games has Rockstar put out?

Its part of business rock-dewller. Welcome to the development side of gaming.

If Nintendo went 3rd party I think they'd port everything they could. They seem to only care about the money nowadays

    ...
