Nintendo News | Wii Tops Hair Searches on Ebay

By Jorge Ba-oh 02.03.2007 12

The search is on for a next generation console on eBay, the net's goldmine to try and securing hardware and software when supplies are low. However, one console has two entries in the top 5 leaderboard, alongside Britney Spears' hair.

Spears, the teenage pop-sensation of yesteryear, has taken the world by storm for eBayers searching for snippets of her human hair. Fortunately searches for the Wii are slightly greater taking the top and fifth spots for most seeked item on the site. Xbox360 and PS3 are also popular taking 3rd and 4th places respectively.

Thanks to Kotaku for the tip.

Broken Lightbulb > Dead Cat > Fast-Food > Britney Spears' Hair

wow...how sad would you need to be to want and be willing to pay for a peice of B. Spears hair? I mean the fact its probably off some blokes cat or ex is irelevant when theirs someone stupid enough to actually want her hair. Sorry, morning rant.

Enoch Powell was right, and you know it.

Yeah, I mean it's only hair from a lame arse celebrity that probably isn't even hers to begin with! Ah well, tis good to see the Wii to top the search listings but still indicates a lot of shortage.

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

I thought this was going to be "Hairdressers top search is Wii" and "Every hairdresser wants a snippet of the Wii".

Obviously I was mistaken.

Say, that IS good news. :/

The fact that Spears' hair is in that list just illustrates what a pathetic and shallow world we live in.

Screwing the rules since 1989.

That's very true, and it's just got shallower, apparently her minge hair has now enterd that list. LS

I don't exactly get how this works, but how did the Wii manage to be 1st and 5th?
