Nintendo Rumour | Wireless Nun-Chuck Confirmation? (Pics Included)

The last time we reported on the possibility of a wireless nunchuck was in January, when some rumours arose stemming from some unconfirmed sources, that one was in development. But now, thanks to the latest issue of Nintendo Power and a few helpful members, we seem to have obtained some images that put a spice of crediblity into proceedings.

Take it with a huge chunk of the white stuff:

Looks pretty convincing, doesn't it? We ourselves have deliberated the possibilities, we can't see any convincing evidence of wires, the most credible contradictive explanation is that it's simply a PR shot and they just forgot to connect the wires, or perhaps even a sloppy photoshop on behalf of the magazine, quite why is beyond us. Whatever the case, it's now in your speculative mits.

[Huge thanks to C3 readers, Zero for the tip & Green28 for the scans]

Looks like it will benefit left handed people more, if that pic is anything to go by.

    For Gawd's sake, is it against the law for people to use decent scanners!? ;-;

Anyway... I'd say it looks like the image of the guy has been shopped onto the sofa... They probably just forgot the wires

Having seen the scan of the whole page of the magazine, it is definitely not a fake. Whether or not the nunchuck is wireless or not or what is going on with the Wii-remote, I'm not sure. Could just be something of nothing. Interesting if it is true though Smilie

There is no way thats real. If you look the wii-mote has the wired nunchuck connector plugged in. I summise the wire has just been removed in photoshop as a wireless nunchuck would surely connect directly to the Wii via bluetooth otherwise whats the point?

Although, to my mind, what's the point of a wireless nunchuck?

Well, I guess the point would be...it would be wireless. More freedom of movement, no annoying wire to get in the way, etc.

actually it probably wouldn't, that would be a lot of wireless connecting to the Wii, a lot of different signals would need to be sent back and forth, think if you have 4 players each with all wireless accessories?
It would probably come with a tinky connector that is probably the size of the nunchuk connector we have now, and it sends its movements to that.
that would be my best bet.

I'm not convinced, & I'm also not bothered whether they're wireless or not.

The problem is, if the nunchuck is wireless, will it need to be charged or have new batteries?

Also, the title says "pics included", yet there is only one pic.

That's a grammar mistake, or something else kinda silly. Smilie

EDIT: My one sentence paragraphs have got to stop, it's a serious problem. I wish I could give myself one "De-Star" as punishment *hinthint*

The scan looks bad because I had to enlarge it to show that the glare on the sofa was not the wire.

Besides being a terrible idea, could a wireless nunchuck even work? How would you know which 'chuck was connected to which remote? The Wii firmware would have to be greatly updated to handle the extra information, and lastly, is the WIi even capable of syncing to 8 different controllers?

It turns into a big fat mess, for what payoff?

The day is 10th of somewhere in the future and kyle is playing the wireless wii and nunchuck remote. He calls a few freinds over to play with their wirless nunchuck and remote.
they are playing and suddenly when Kyle tries to box one of his freinds he boxes him self!!!!!!
When kyle contacted nintendo they said your wireless nunchuck got interconnected with the other freind wii mote .
from this day forward it kyle only bought wired nunchucks

I would have thought Nintendo would release a deluxe remote rather than a wireless Nunchuk, either way this is good. Where are some branded remote chargers, they are badly needed in my household. LS

I like the idea of a Wireless nunchuck but I cant think how it would work with all the signals going around, could get very messy especially when playing multiplayer but i'll wait and see if ones released then i'll get one.

Apparently game have began to sell a wii-mote charger with a docking station and battery pack but I havent seen them my self yet.
