Nintendo Rumour | Wireless Nun-Chuck Confirmation? (Pics Included)

The last time we reported on the possibility of a wireless nunchuck was in January, when some rumours arose stemming from some unconfirmed sources, that one was in development. But now, thanks to the latest issue of Nintendo Power and a few helpful members, we seem to have obtained some images that put a spice of crediblity into proceedings.

Take it with a huge chunk of the white stuff:

Looks pretty convincing, doesn't it? We ourselves have deliberated the possibilities, we can't see any convincing evidence of wires, the most credible contradictive explanation is that it's simply a PR shot and they just forgot to connect the wires, or perhaps even a sloppy photoshop on behalf of the magazine, quite why is beyond us. Whatever the case, it's now in your speculative mits.

[Huge thanks to C3 readers, Zero for the tip & Green28 for the scans]

    In response to this:

If you look the wii-mote has the wired nunchuck connector plugged in.

    And partially this:

with all the signals going around, could get very messy

I assume it would work by plugging in a little wireless receiver into the Wii-Mote (hence the connector you can see) and then both signals would be sent in one stream like normal.

    Seems workable to me..

Well thats set my mind to rest SpySmilie, does seem workable but won't it be a very expensive thing to have? I know that it will be a premium option but I can still see it being way to expensive. But short of that I like the idea and it finally gives the full idea of freehand controllers.

I don't know why everyone else didn't assume that in the first place, I did... It seems the obvious solution, but I still don't think it's likely. It'd make the controller even MORE expensive, and there isn't really a great enough pay off... The wire's a decent length

    Two things. First:
Lefthanders pick up Wiimote with the left (hance the word) and Nunchuck with the right hand. That's how I play Zelda TP and Red Steel.

Second: Just get yourself accumulators in size AA, change them at emptyness and rechargen them externally, you environmental bastards! What's so difficult about that? Saves a heck of money, is cheap and genuine (4 AA-accumulators around 6 EUR with a recharger from 10 to 150 EUR, as you wish)!

accumulators are rechargeable batteries, NiMH mostly.
I hate people being lazy and getting one-time-battery-packs!

/edit: Oh, and thirdly: There is absolutely no need to photoshop this pic. Just pick um Wiimote and Nunchuck and do not plug them! April's Fools Joke at minimum costs! *lol*
    Fake.

I bet the wire was removed so the picture would look a little nicer. Besides, a wireless nun-chuck would be pretty dangerous and you would need even more batteries.

Would be nice if they did finally do it. But haven't come across to much trouble with the wires as it is!
