Screens | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Turtles!
Who eat pizza....

If the phrase 'heroes in a half-shell' means anything to you, you'll be pleased to learn of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game heading to PS2, Xbox, PC and Gamecube in the autumn courtesy of Konami.

The aggressive amphibians' latest console outing is, predictably, a beat-'em-up and, like the new animated series that will hit the UK later in the year, boasts cel-shaded graphics. How very fashionable.

The game itself is a 35-level Final Fight-style scrolling scrapper, replete with different weapons for each of the four characters, special moves and suitably cool-looking end-of-level bosses. It sounds like a pretty retro type of affair but, if done properly, there's still plenty to be said for a bit of old school fisticuffs.

Expect more on the game in the coming weeks but, for now, have a gander at the latest shots below.
