Quick News: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08, the follow up to the slightly less predictable Tiger Woods PGA Tour...07, has been confirmed for Nintendo's primary consoles by EA. With the company's recent assertion on the fact that it is putting even more focus onto the Wii and DS, gamers can confidently assume that this is just the start of a long lasting trend.

I was really dissapointed that (judging from reviews) the last one was really crap.
I hope they actually make the controls more responsive this time.

Yay! I just got the 07 version for the Wii and I admit it is pretty naff.

I actually find the controls to be quite good, putting was unresponsive, but everything else works well with me.

The annoyance comes from the lack of picture quality. EA (the lazy idiots) choose to take out 480p and widescreen for the PAL version of the game and it only runs in 50Hz. This really bugs me and tells me that EA are just complete idiots to do such a thing.

Overall though it's alright, not bad, but could of been a lot better and hopefully next years edition can produce something a little more playable.

I stopped caring about these games really when I realised that they didn't change much.

Also, I'm not even that interested in golf.

I have the game also Marzy but i am not going to be too critical, the game for me does indeed have short comings -

The swing mechanic for me is fantastic i can judge my shots well and they are responsive, but the putting is a let down, HD graphics for reading the greens would have helped it as it stands, but really there are problems with the actual mechanics and how well it works.

Back to the graphics which in this case make a huge difference, they are such a let down when you look at the other versions of the game, i expected something a just a little closer.

For me this is very much a case of 07 not being made ground up for Wii and instead being downscaled for Wii, i hope that is rectified next time around if the development is isolated from the other versions-.

I watched OTS today and they featured 08 in a report, the guy at the end of the interview mentioned all the other console except for Wii!, but perhaps it os just all the other version that will now be made in EA's florida studio and the studio that made 07 will continue making Wii versions?.LS
